    ive been searching but no joy. Im thinking about welding shut my cowl since i removed everything under the day and have no need for it really. there isnt any rust in there just a bunch of straw (from palo verde trees......AZ thing). i was think about cutting the grill out and welding it shut...

    yeah lightning motors are weak and will spit a rod out faster then a stock gt 4.6 will (maybe at the same time). fiting a turbo will be tight but anything can be done with time and money. if you build the shortblock up then you will be set and have a monster on your hands.

    Any estimates on how much I would need for my 66 (inside and out)? I want to buy it all at once and the cheapest I have found it on line is $65 per gallon or $226 for 4 gallons. I would also buy more paper so if you have any ideas/input I would appreciate it.

    i dont know. my 03 cobra is loud, mean, it shakes (solid mounts) and vibrates (ram power grip HD). runs 11s all day long (off the bottle) and i can roll up the windows, crank up the a/c and stereo and drive home. i dont know why poeple hate mod motors so much. im putting a EFI 5.0 in my 66...

    :notnice: What is it you run at the track BTW? Yeah N/A its easier and cheaper to build a pushrod motor but when boost comes into play its another story. So please post your times and trap when you killed all the cobras.
