    overkill??

60#/660cc Should be a good size for 15psi on a blower that size, our general rule that we work by on a 9:1 compression ratio with boosted engines is to match the volume of the bore to the size of the injectors volume/min is equal to 200hp/litre at the flywheel working capacity. Ford should...

    Electric supercharger

On a curious note, I have seen a Electric supercharger that actually works, used three motors to drive a centifugal compressor wheel, drained two 600CCA SLA batteries in under 10 seconds, but managed to turn over 300whp out of a Nissan FJ20 - The australian site "Autospeed" covered it a while back.

    Wrecked Enzo

Yikes, this even made the news on tv all the way over here in New Zealand! So they wrecked a rare car, yay, and the world keeps turning...

What do you guys think about Lambo Doors?

The acid test: (a) Does it make your car lighter, faster or handle better? If the answer is 'No' to any of the above, you shouldn't do it.

    Oil Change

I'd rather do the change myself anyday, it's faster, and cheaper. Here's some pointers. 1. Bring the car up to operating temp before you do the change - the oil will drain much quicker and more thoroughly 2. Don't overtighten the filter, it's usually just hand tight plus half-turn 3...

    Inline Fuel Pump.

Running two pumps in series can be a hazardous setup, unless there is a surge tank between them with a return to the tank, otherwise if the second pump is bigger than the first, it will often create so much suction that it will bind up the first pump - this is especially true if they are...

    Relocating battery to trunk

Pretty much, in a ideal world, everything would be stacked right in the middle of the car, even more so if it all sat below the level of the center of the wheels :-) Anyway, back on topic, the parts you need, 1. Battery box + way to secure it down to the body, check with your local...

GT & Cobra Stock Maf Curve Comparo

You are correct about the maf's being identical, the table is showing the two airflow maps from their respective ecu's - the cobra's being calibrated higher because of the benefits from the intake and head revisions.

GT & Cobra Stock Maf Curve Comparo

So that's the compensation for the Cobra's improved flowpath, at the broadest point of difference, is there roughly a 10.4% difference?

    Airbag Simulators

ok, after doing the whole search thing, and reading up on things, I see that there are simulators available that disable the airbag system, most appear just to be a ground and a 2 Ohm resisitor of some variety, and that's about it. Does anyone have one of these simulators and a multimeter who...

Look at the junk I found in my tailpipes?

That'll definately be cat guts as it were, shouldn't harm your mufflers at all, though they may need a shake out to get the particles out of them.

    Relocating battery to trunk

Shouldn't need to, it's car construction in it's most basic form, which is why all top sports cars/supercars/motorcycles/ have as much of the vehicles mass between the axles/wheels Just because everyone you know does it one way, doesn't make it the right way.

    351C in a 95?

:) I don't mind heckling, just prompts me to point out that our vehicle emissions laws don't require us to run any catalytic converters :)

    351C in a 95?

    Yep, in every direction.

    Relocating battery to trunk

There's a right way to do things, and a wrong way, any mass you place behind the rear axle not only shifts the weight balance, but it also causes a shift in the COG much further back when under cornering, it's like lobbing a hammer - the head will always lead in and hit first.

    Inline Fuel Pump.

a Whinebro 255 will be more than enough, generally speaking it's the diameter of the fuel lines used that cause a flow restriction, ideally you want to go up to whatever size matches the internal diameter of your fuel rail, and upsize any filters and fittings on the way. Personally, on all my...

    Relocating battery to trunk

Cool, I love it when old threads are resurrected :-) Battery relocation has a couple of factors that need to be considered: 1. If mounted behind the rear axle - it will hurt handling 2. If you're a weight reduction junkie the cable will add a few lbs 3. The cable must be secured to the...

So are coups supposed to be faster than verts?

Back pressure == Myth If you add a muffler and it increases power or torque, it means your exhaust pipe diameter is too large, by adding a muffler as a bandaid it will shift the start of the peak torque band curve higher in the rev range without moving the end of it.

what would it take for a 94 cobra to beat an ls1

Besides, why worry about beheamoths like LS1's - it's when you get beaten by a little white Colt that you need to address the concerns: like my old completely street legal car [email protected]: http://www.msport.co.nz/4images/albums/userpics/monster/mycage.mpg Anyway, back on-topic - to...

    Air Bag code....HELP!!!!

One day when the thing faults while you're cleaning the steering wheel, blows and breaks your neck like a twig - can I have your car for parts?
