    Low idle alternator

    What year is your car and if you have an expensive optima, why not have a 130amp alternator for it. The alternator on 87-93 mustangs have 75amps, and with any extra stuff you put in your car they suck. do the conversion, if that's your case and change it to a higher amp alternator.

    It seems like yoour starter needs to be replaced. go with a mini starter and avoid that kind of trouble. One way to find out if your starter is bad, check the cable that goes to the solenoid when you turn off the car, and if is f??? hot, most likely is going to be that. that's what happen to me.

    idling problems

    if it doesnt idle right check the throttle position sensor. i don't think that by changing the belt tensioner would make your car idle bad. Also take out the air by pass valve and clean it with some carburator cleaner, may be that would help to idle better.

    I have the same heads, they don't use the stock spark plugs. Contact Trick Flow Tech Line and they will tell you the part number for the plugs.

    Well, if you want a good cam, the E-303 is a good choice for the price and performance. If you want to change the fuel pump go with the 255lph and some 24lb or 30lb injectors with a 75mm pro m mass air. With that set up you should be able to run low 13's with the LX if the Lx is 5 speed. thanks

    what is powershifting?

    Powershifing is when you don't take your foot of the pedal and just tap the clutch and the RPM's don't go down when you shift. It's a diffrent feeling, but be very careful because you can brake your tranny specially if is a stock T5.
