    Comp Cams VS Hot Rod Cams

    If its power you want then go with Comp Cams Stage II VSR cams. But if its just sound, then go with the Ford Hot Rod Cams'. They have a slightly larger valve event gap and are a bit lopeir. But the Comp Cams Stage II VSR cams make more power.

    Just crank it up!! But if it gets a lot louder in a short period of time take it back to that shop. I wonder if you got Motive gears (Used to be sold even by Ford racing). Some guys, even with a good install, have had whine from Motive gears.

    I agree. Save for the S197. I have never been as happy with a car as I am with my S197 and I've owned a lot of cars.

    Are you sure its not the gears whining? You suspension is more likely to make clunk's and squeeks than hisses or whining. I'd take it back to whomever installed the gears and ask them. This is a unfortunate but common' issue with gear installs. The 8.8's are kind of a PITA to install gears...

    I just can't wait until there are a few more vendors with them. I'm hoping with some good heads, fairly radical cams,full exhaust and 4.10's someone can show a consistent 400RWHP N/A with stock compression.

    Why don't you do it yourself? Its cheap and not hard at all. Just mask the inner circle (the GT emblem) and spray. To take it off all you need is some fish line or floss.

    :) To tell you the truth the Quad Cities area is pretty cool too. Its not "cutting edge" or anything. But I can't complain about anything but midwest weather... Take today for example. Supposed to be 40* almost all day then be like 2* tonight with the possiblity of a crap load of snow.

    I think it would be a little louder. But if its volume you want, yo u would probably be better off with the stock mufflers and a offroad mid-pipe. Those axle backs can be had at any number of places. Not sure where your going to get the best price. Shop around. You can get those axle backs...

    What I've heard is that the fitment is pretty nice with these headers and they sound AWESOME with a prochamber. Make sure you get them ceramic coated so they last. In the past they have sold cheaper headers and you get what you pay for. But we are talking a lot less quality they have now...
