C&L Intakes Shipping to tuners now!

I saw Evolution Performance has them for sale. $799 is what they're selling them for.

It's good that someone makes one now. Only worth it if you have cams, heads, spray, turbo, or blower though. On an NA car, they won't make enough power to justify the cost. On a car with only intake and tune, it made an additional 15HP. But it doesn't have the CMCV's. So if you already have CMCV's, you can take about 7 HP off of that, meaning you'll really only gain about 8 HP for $800. But, if you have heavier mods, then it'll definitely be worth it.

I agree. Bigcat I was thinkin' the same thing as well. Also I agree with Darkfire... I think, though, with heads/cams/exhaust it will be a worth while mod. though. Either way, we will see what happends in the real world now finally. The numbers on there site are still from C&L so we will get some real numbers from evolution and other vendors in the next couple of weeks.

I can't wait!

You guys know that HSW is comming out with a sweet N2O pate system for us now too!!! I love this aftermarket!

I think with heads and cams (plus all the normal bolt-ons) that this may be the trick to 400 rwhp NA. According to C&L the stock manifold flowed around 260 CFM, which under performs most of the ported heads out there, ~280-310 CFM. With this intake those heads will have all the "breathing room" they need.

I just can't wait until there are a few more vendors with them. I'm hoping with some good heads, fairly radical cams, full exhaust and 4.10's someone can show a consistent 400RWHP N/A with stock compression.

VERY SUSPECT!

Im very curious, I love a good reliable n/a car...

just courious why all these vendors/tuners HAVE the intakes.... KNOW the first w/ good results will get $$$$, and STILL noone risking their reputation on the product yet... NOONE

VERY SUSPECT!

from evos website:

This manifold is a two-piece design aluminum casting that is CNC machined with a powder coated black finish. It will also feature at least one set of bosses for a direct port nitrous system to be fitted.

Expect 15 RWHP Gains across the RPM range and a peak of 20+ RWHP on a car with Only an Air Intake and Tune. Cars with Ported Heads, Cams, or Stroker Motors will really benefit and we will be testing this intake manifold on higher HP N/A cars in the coming days!

lets hope see that in reality....

Ok, so attached is the dyno graph of the new manifold as tested on BAMACHIPS' car. I reached out to them for a tune, and wow is their customer service the best I have encountered...

Anyways, not to get too off topic, looks like some decent gains. THe graph is a stock gt manual with racer intake. Thought I'd share with yous :)

Doug at Bamachips is a great guy with great results (for me and several others in the area-dyno tune). The intake does have decent gains and at least on the N/A application holds true to only a noticeable gain in the upper (4500+) RPM range. Great for the track, but little help on daily street driving, but nice to know it's there.

I have been talking to Doug at Bama for weeks now about this. We have to be patient. Neither Lee at C & L or Doug want to print false numbers. They are taking the time to test multiple runner lengths to find out what is going to give the mustang community a quality piece. We just have to wait a little longer. Doug is going to test again this Friday on his own car which now has cams and headers. So let's see what happens.
