Does my 95 GT have traction control?

That could make sense. I got the line about traction control being disabled when the ABS light is on from my Haynes manual. The manual is for 94-98 mustangs, so perhaps traction control was added in 96?

Does my 95 GT have traction control?

I was wondering how I could tell if my 95 GT has traction control? My VIN number is wrong (it corresponds to a V6 car, but this is not a saleen), and I have no door tag. Is there something I could look for perhaps near the rear diff that would tell me? Or is there maybe something related to...

    Oil Pan Gasket change question

I guess I wasn't clear enough here - I do not have access to an engine hoist. I just moved across 5 states this summer, and I don't even know anyone who I could borrow one from where I am. Is this possible without a hoist? I have a jack with jackstands, but no hoist of any sort. I do have an...

    Oil Pan Gasket change question

The oil pan gasket on my 95 GT is leaking oil and practically squeezing out of the space between the pan and the block. I'm leaking oil while parked, at a rate that is getting obnoxious. I'd like to change out this gasket myself, rather than pay someone to do it. I do not have any access to...

    Verifying a VIN number?

Could you post a picture of one in its location, so I can be sure I'm looking in the right place?

    Verifying a VIN number?

Ok. I'll look for the core support. How much information will the frame plate tell me? I'm guessing the vin tags on the panels are stamped on to the inner side of the panels? Is there one particular that is easier to find than others? Thanks. And I am enjoying the cheap insurance...

    Verifying a VIN number?

I just got carfax results on my car, and now I'm thinking that there was a VIN switch somewhere along the way. The VIN is for a V6 car, but its a complete (as far as I can tell) GT. The mileage on the carfax shows "possible odometer fraud", as the mileage when I bought it this year was lower...

Anyone need a carefax let me know!!

Hmmm. Damnit, I thought something seemed odd with the car. The other odd thing about it is that the VIN is for a V6 stang, but the car is a GT. I'm thinking this car was totaled out, but not reported, and then the VIN was transferred to a V8 car. Not sure how I could verify that one, though...

Anyone need a carefax let me know!!

Can you get mine for me? 1FALP4041SF250596 I know it was originally a V6, but I don't know much else behind its history... thanks :nice:

    Aftermarket seats?

Those jeg's seats do look nice. How much lower will they be than the standard seats, after I hook up the power tracks?

    Aftermarket seats?

And, I'm gonna be a PITA and say: "I'm looking for a normal, comfortable, seat that reclines" Nothing that looks like I stole from a ricer ... Nothing that doesn't allow at least close to the range of motion of the stock seats. any more ideas?

    Aftermarket seats?

What seats should I look for on ebay? For that matter, are there previous years' seats that will sit lower on the same tracks? The 92,93 seats use the same power seat setup, IIRC. Are they any shorter?

    Aftermarket seats?

I want to sit lower in my car. I think the seats in my 95 are too tall (in terms of the height of the seat). Even with the seat lowered all the way (power seats), I'm still not as low as I'd like to be. I prefer to drive with the wheel in the lowest tilt position, and with it there and my...

    What is the right dipstick?

My used 95 GT was originally a V6 car - there was an engine/tranny/etc... swap done before I bought it. I'm not convinced that it has the right dipstick, as the one in it doesn't have any fill lines on it, just the word "full" at the very end of it. I believe the part number on the dipstick...

    time for tires...gimme ideas

That was what I had expected, until I bought tires that were wider. Although the tread pattern and rigidity were different, as well, so I can't say it was entirely due to the width. Of course, it also depends on what you are trying to get traction on... In MN, we'll often end up with narrow...

    time for tires...gimme ideas

I'm running BFG Traction T/A's now. On my previous stang (with a 2.3) I ran Radial T/As year round, and those did well here in minnesota. Though I definetly have a bias towards BFG... One thing I found useful last time was that going a little wider, and a little softer tread, seemed to reduce...

    Help - Best Winter Tires

I've driven stangs year round in minnesota... Though now I'm in my first 5.0. Most recently on my previous stang, I had some wide BFG Radial T/As, they worked pretty damn well. And that car did not have a limited slip rear diff. Are you driving a stick? Generally, it is easier to get...

    Passenger side mirror

Hey I called a yard, and they said that the mirrors for 94-95 are different than 96-98. Is this true? I thought the only thing that changed (other than the 5.0 -> 4.6 v8) between 95 and 96 was the taillights.

    Passenger side mirror

I'm a doofus and somehow I managed to hit my passenger side mirror (95 GT) on the side of the garage door frame last night. The motor still works, but the lens broke and fell off, and the plastic frame for the mirror is cracked. Where can I find these parts? How much should they cost...

    98 Cup holders

Are the 99-04 cup holders usable in the SN95 consoles? I've heard suggestions of it, but I don't know if it works or not. I can't seem to find a 98 stang in a yard up here in minnesota, as I'd like to do this, too. Someone posted the following part numbers for the 98 cup holder...
