    IIRC the piston to valve clearance was like 3 thousandths, but that was 4 years ago when i built that motor so i may be a lil off.

    i was running .0200 domed keith blacks on top of eagle h-beams sitting under edelbrock rpm's with an e cam and 1.6's. had .003 gap @ TDC. it was tight but no contact. *trying to keep this thread open ended*

    2 ga starter wire

    they fugded up and cut 2ga wire instead of 4ga at the place i got my starter wire from. this isnt gonna hurt me is it? common sense tells me no. only a wire smaller than 4 ga will do the damage, right?

    yeah i capped the line going from the back of the intake to the tab/ tad solenoids ands the line from the front/bottom of the intake to the charcoal canister. 1. what about the line from the egr to the tab/tad solenoids? 2. does that line have to have a source of vaccum or can it be capped...

    ok thanks ALMOST STOCK, ive got a 4 ga cable from a drag car i had. i ran a single wire alternator. the cable goes from the alternator, up to the front of the car, ran it along the headlight harness, around the battery, and to the solenoid. maybe 6 feet in all. do you think this would be long...

    vaccum line ?

    working on a 93 5.0 lx with no ac, smog, or cruise cont. im stuck on the TAD/TAB and the other component around the passenger side strut tower. how do i reroute the vaccum lines to bypass all that stuff.

    what all do i have to do to the lower to get my motor to except the "gt40" lower. i read somn about drilling and tapping but cant find where i read what size tap to use and all that good stuff. do i have to do anything to the headers to run this intake?

    well the thing is i have an explorer intake, got it for like 40 bones, but i dont like the looks of the explorer upper. i was gonna utilize the lower and jus get a gt40 upper. i think the gt40 is gonna be on the border line of being enough for my motor. thats why the question cam about porting...

    i know the lower can be ported but can the upper be ported as well or are the walls too thin for that? what gains would be had in porting a tubular gt40 intake upper and lower? if both is possible what kind of work needs to be done to the intake to get the most flow outta it?
