Well after about a month of having my transgo shift kit installed, my 4th gear went and now its time to get a new tranny. I would love to convert it to a 5 speed and I'm trying to figure out prices. What do you think I should do in terms of price: Have a new/rebuilt tranny installed? Convert to...
ive got aamco tellin me its not safe driving my car at all now. when i turn off the OD, she runs perfectly fine. i was thinkin that its still safe for me to drive down to charleston, aside from sucking up gas. its only when the OD is engaged is when its not workin.
i dont think the shop that installed it is willing to pay for the repair because they said they guarantee their work but not the shift kit since i didnt buy it from them. my guess is that im gonna drive 40 minutes away to this place just to hear that the shift kit was defective and they wont pay...
I wasnt abusing it at all. i baby the hell outta my car. thats the thing. yeah it is funny how they said "I" fried it. what im thinkin is that maybe its the vaccuum module. maybe the tranny just isnt getting enough pressure to shift when the OD is on. thats my guess. the funny thing it drives...
OK well I've had my transgo shift kit installed for almost 2 weeks now and all of a sudden the car drives funny. when i turn the OD off she drives fine, but since I always drive with it on to save gas its not shifting into 4th. when i get up to around 50 or so she just starts revving as if its...
well i got the shift kit installed yesterday and put the hammer shifter in today. she drives great. nice hard shifts and the ratchet shifter is so much fun. all i need to do now is wire up the LED and the O/D button. for anyone that did this, where did u wire up the LED and how did u connect O/D...
this is getting ****ing rediculous. ive literally called about 30 speed shops in the baltimore/DC area to have my shift kit installed and u know what answers ive been getting? no we dont work on 98's, we dont touch autos (a ford speed shop that specializes in automatics only said this), we only...
this is gonna be my last time asking cuz my retard level is quickly goin up :nonono:
with my setup (transgo shift kit and B&M Hammer shifter) do i put the shifter in D and ratchet it foward to upshift and pull it back to downshift, with each ratchet returning it to D? i'm asking cuz B&M's...
i think it still shifts manually even if u do put it in D. the street/strip valve body lets u go either way. my question is...how does the hammer shift exactly. if u put it in drive do u slap it foward to upshift and pull back to downshift? or do u have to put it in 1 and then shift to 2 then D...
I bought the transgo high performance shift kit and the b&m hammer shifter :hail2:
the guy i talked to said a shift kit is exactly what you want if u wanna manually upshift and downshift without harming ur tranny.
hahahaha just talked a guy from summit. he said the hammer shifter does nothing but look good and if i wanna be able to manually upshift and downshift any gear i'm gonna need the transgo shift kit. i thought so
I know this topic has been talked to death but I can't find a straight foward answer. I wanna get the Hammer Shifter for my 98 GT. I told the guy from Jegs I wanna be able to manually upshift and downshift any gear and asked if I would need a shift kit to do that. He said the Hammer shifter will...
:rlaugh:
I'm going for a simple but mean look. Lowered, aggressive rims, fat tires, LOUD exhaust. I love my rims now. I think they're the best looking stock rims on any mustang next to the bullitts. So many ideas, so little money :bang:
