I had the battery cables hooked up to another battery while it was attatched to the dead one and I guess it charged it up a little. i tried to start it and it cranked nicely.     I never connected this cable, some people said it could be to some aftermarket thing. Could this be the problem? What if I connected the other negative side of the jumper cable to the engine?? i also see some smoke sometimes coming from the negative side of the jumper cable. is that bad?

    I tried hooking up the cables directly from the other battery to the batter cables in the mustang and it didnt work is that just as good as switching batteries?

    My ignition is effed up thats why I have to use the sylinoid. I have someone turn the ignition on to where the battery is on and thats when it reads 12.5 but when I start it from the sylinoid, the battery guage shuts off.

    I dont have a charger. Could i just use another car? If I hooked up the cables to my battery will that also charge it? its at 12.5 on the battery guage, is that enough to start it?

    Alright Im trying to get my engine started. I primed it good and got the pressure up. All fluids are in and everything is connected (I hope:D ). i tried to start it and it just cranked very slow, like the starter wasnt powerful enough. What is the problem here??     There was a lot of yellow oilly crap coming out of the engine when I got it about 2 weeks ago. Do I need to prime it again??

    alright youve convinced me to go buy the prime tool and coolant. Ill just have to wait another day:( . Also how old do you have to be to register a car and how does that work? Right now its registered as no-op and hasnt been registered since 03 but its all up to date as far as payments go.

    Alright I got my new engine in and everything back together. All I have to do is pour the fluids in. How many QTs of oil do I need? I also dont have any coolant right now is 100% water okay? Any other things I should check or know before I start for the first time??

    Math problem: lets say I have the 7 tooth and the other one is the stock for my 87(whatever that is). My speedo is off by about 30%. What would that make my rear end gear be?

    I figured it out. The cylinder that was in the PS was just slightly jamed and all I had to do was push it to one side and it came unjammed. There is a spring on the other side so all I had to do was just push the PS hose into it and it compressed.
