    Inside of intake yellow?

Dude!! Someone went pee pee in your carb! In all seriousness. Before I converted to EFI. I went from the 2 barrel to a 4. I got the intake used from some guy in California, and it had yellow crud on the inside. I cleaned it out and it never came back. I always thought it was from a...

Idle stuck at ~2k rpms and can't fix it, help!

OK, So you replaced the IAC and reset the computer. Started the car and the idle was too low, so you increased the idle using the throttle plate stop screw. Now its idling too fast. Forgive me if I missed something, but why can't you just turn the TPSS back out?

    MISSING AT IDLE..EXHAUST DEPOSITS

:stupid: I'm kinda have the same problem. It surges and misses at idle, especially in gear. I checked vacuum by hooking up a tee to the FPR, vacuum is at 16" and doesn't fluctuate.

PO= Previous Owner OK I did what proxses said and the idle has smoothed out some, although it seems to idle a little fast, and it still surges in gear. I just found out my alternator is bad. So Ill take this opportunity to upgrade to a 3G. Then I'll drive down to the exhaust shop and get...

When I first started the car the idle was way too high, even after warm up. I checked the TB and the PO set the idle using the TP screw. It looked like he just kept turning it until the IAC was fully closed. So I backed off the TP screw until it was barley touching the little ear it sets on...

The BAP isn't connected to vacuum, its open to atmosphere. I don't think its just zero backpressure, its the fact that you can see the o2s by looking into the headers collector. They'd have to be sensing "some" of the ambient oxygen. Any input on this?

I'm Running a MAF metered engine from a 91 Mustang. The ECM code is A9L. Before I reinstalled the EGR, I cleaned the side that faces the spacer and checked the small projection on the same side for free movement. I'm guessing the code is because of the EVP sensor? I'm 99% sure the BAP is...

OK I finally got my car to run a KOER self-test, after fixing the NDS. The thing idles like it has a .700" cam in it. The idle will go from 900-1100RPM, and will smooth out if you hold it at about 1400RPM. Then it will hang for several seconds. Currently the car has open long tube headers...

    EFI conversion: code 67

OK I just tested it by jumping a wire from pin 30 and grounded it through the start signal post on the starter relay. It cleared the code and it didn't try to start when it wasn't suppose too. Maybe now I can run a KOER test. Thanks TT670

    Need wiring help: Code 67

Hi guys, I've just recently got my car back together and running, after installing a 5.0HO out of a 91 Mustang into my 69. Right now I'm trying to fix the current trouble codes one of which is code 67. Code 67 (KOEO): "Neutral Drive Switch circuit open; A/C input high." I've checked...

How to remove Hall/PIP sensor? Need help ASAP.

Ok I took the dis. out and figured out how to do it. I guess I'll have to take it to my mechanic tomorrow and have it pressed off. The reason I'm replacing the sensor is I have a no spark condition and there's no fuel on the plugs. Tests of the TFI module point to the hall sensor but my dad...

How to remove Hall/PIP sensor? Need help ASAP.

Engine loses ALL power when in WOT.

It doesn't make sense to me that it could be an o2 sensor problem. I thought that the ECM ignored signals from the o2s at WOT, because the car would need to have a richer mixture. So the computer looks up the fuel tables for WOT. Don't just pull the codes, do a full fledge quick test, both...

Engine loses ALL power when in WOT.

You might be right since I've never tried it. I assumed it would be like disconnecting the vac advance on the old dizzies. When the car is KOEO. I would think you could use a analog VM and probe the two wires on the TB while someone slowly opened the throttle from inside the car...

Engine loses ALL power when in WOT.

:stupid: I second checking the TPS for a dead spot. I believe it should have 5.v at WOT. If you think its advancing too much at WOT. You could try leaving the SPOUT connector unplugged, which would cancel all ignition advance. Then take it for a quick test drive. .

What kind of reactions do you guys get on the street?

I mostly get honks and waves from people in other Mustangs, which are few and far between around here. From non stangers I've received the following: "Nice car" "Damn that's a fine car" "351"? "Wanna race his Camaro"? And something from two chicks in a VW next to me that I would not...

    power brake booster question

This is a conversion booster off of ebay. I've never used it but I think it has an adjustable pushrod so you can set pedal height. Has anyone used this booster?
