    Grrrr, everyone has a pre 90 and swiches to a 90-93 cluster or even swap but noone swaps from a 90-93 to an 87-89. Could I just swap in a 90-93 5.0 cluster? Or would the computer read it wrong? What about swapping out the C250 and C251 from the 88 onto the 93?

    No, I haven't touched anything for the 5.0 swap under or in the dash yet. Would it be easier to just get a 90-93 cluster......crap now that I think about it the cluster will not work because in the 88 its flat and mine is rounded.....hmmm would a 90-93 be a direct go? someone said the speedo...

    that right there is exactly what I did. Tested the wires to see what was hot when moving the seat, lumbar, etc and wired from there.

    I'm installing my 2.3 A/c stuff on the 302 during the swap but my question is whether the lines and other hardware are the same. I know that I will have to get an A/C bracket, but other than that???? Anyone done this before?

    Is the rack and pinion the same on both cars? Appearance wise they look exactly the same. Also my donor car is an 88 with out A/C and my 93 2.3 has A/c. What needs to be done/can it be done? to make it all hookup. Last thing is the radiator. The donor cars radiator is a little messed up...

    I'm going to be temporarily hooking up a Cougar AOD from an 87 or 88 in place of the stang AOD, is there anything I need to be aware of? Anything need fabricating? Will it work fine? Thanks Nikk

    It wouldn't shift into 3rd, I finally got it to shift briefly but was grinding, almost like it was in 2 gears. Just wondering if it could be the 2-3 accumultaor piston, or the 2-3 backout valve in the VB or the 2-3 accumulator in the VB....grrrrrrrr

    Wait Mercon V?? Got some progrees today. I shifted into third very brielfy and then jumped back down to second. I think the VB may be a little loose(I think my in/lb torque wrench is messed up. GRRR) It was late and the fluid was hot so I will drop it down tomorrow. One of the pins was broake...

    I am just pulling it to see if it is the culprit. The tranny won't shift out of second. I have adjusted the TV cable using the direction in the Ford Factory Service Manual. I bought the car off of ebay and am in the process of filing a complaint, and trying to get a partial reimbursment...

    Dropping Valve Body tomorrow.....

    Tomorrow, I am going to pull the valve body out and thoroughly check it out to see if it is the cuprit. I am going to replace the upper and lower gaskets, too. Anything else I need to be aware of?
