Cougar AOD ???

I'm going to be temporarily hooking up a Cougar AOD from an 87 or 88 in place of the stang AOD, is there anything I need to be aware of? Anything need fabricating? Will it work fine?

The tail shaft is longer on the Cougar/Tbird AOD. Make sure your drive shaft will still fit!

make sure the linkage where the cables hook up matches on both. I just saw an AOD from an LTD and it was facing in the worng direction and had to be adjusted. Much easier off the car. Other than that you should be OK. Have fun!
