    no oil pressure!

good to know how tough these things are :nice: I use Ford Motorcraft oil filters, but that wasnt the issue turns out the wire going to the oil pressure sensor had all but broke in 2. My disconnecting it finished it off. went to the junk yard to grab a connector with enough wire still on...

    no oil pressure!

Also, I could not hear any unusual ticking I think its quite possible that the connection to the oil pressure sensor is not good. but the gauge reading, heat, and faint smoke scares me.

    no oil pressure!

first time starting the car after new intake install. started trying to reset the timing since the distributer had to be removed and reinstalled. The engine ran for a few minutes and i noticed it felt really hot went to check the temp and realized there was no oil pressure on the guage! :shock...

EGR tube too short and broken fuel line

Thank you. good stuff :nice: I was just in there figuring out that it wasnt gunna be too hard to replace the fuel line. It was actually way too easy to take apart. everything just popped apart effortlessly in just a few minutes. it was actually kind of scary how easy it was :rlaugh: cut...

EGR tube too short and broken fuel line

the fuel line that broke is either the fuel feed or return. its the one closest to the front of the car. has anyone ever had one break? or know what to do? I did a little research on the egr tube. and I guess I just needed an adapter, but its too late for that now :rlaugh: looks like I need...

EGR tube too short and broken fuel line

While finishing up a pro products intake install I found out that the EGR tube is too short :nonono: and broke the fuel line in half right by the fuel rail  tried to straighten out the egr tube bends to get a little more length out of it (i need about a half inch). that didnt work, so...

pcv really need 2 vacuum lines?

sorry, i think you are confused about what im saying. it comes out of the crankcase at the lower intake manifold into one vacuum line. it then T's off to 2 vacuum lines, both of which connect to the upper intake manifold. Im installing a performance intake and am trying to simplify all of the...

pcv really need 2 vacuum lines?

Hissin, I trust that you are right :hail2: but i dont get it. arent both of the vacuum lines going to the intake from the pcv doing the same thing? sucking air through the pcv into the intake? or is one doing something different? thanks

pcv really need 2 vacuum lines?

i searched and found some talk about it, but i didnt find a good answer  So, does the pcv really need two vacuum lines? Im trying to use as few vacuum lines as possible. and as short of vacuum lines as possible. so there is only as little clutter as possible. it...

    30# injectors? too big?

yes  lol. thank you. I picked through the junk yard and grabbed a couple fuel injectors for cheap. they are off of a 94 4.6 thunderbird (newest ones i could find)

    30# injectors? too big?

Thanks for all of the replies and good info. :) Im definately thinking about just trying to find some used 19# injectors now. I still want the 30#ers but if I cant get it to run right, it definately isnt worth it. I would want to do it "the way Ford does it" and I want to get the tweecer rt, but...

    30# injectors? too big?

I thought that as long as you have a MAF calibrated to the correct size injector then you dont need a tune? It will probably be atleast three more years until I can do everything that I want to on the car, when I finally finish school. or sooner if the engine blows up :rlaugh:

    30# injectors? too big?

Leaking gas all over my engine is sketchy to say the least. If a couple are starting to crack, I cant trust any of them anymore, they are all ready to be replaced. I also cant trust these kinds of parts from the junk yard. no way to know for sure if they are about ready to start leaking as well...

    30# injectors? too big?

My fuel injectors are cracking and leaking, so its time to replace them. The only engine parts worth mentioning are a CAI, typhoon manifold, catted X, and catback. Im gunna get a Pro-M maf calibrated to go with the new injectors. I plan to do the heads and cam at some point down the road. I...

95 GT - knocking sound in front passenger wheel area

I had the same problem. Only noticeable at low speeds. Varying and random clunk... Turned out that the brake caliper bolts had somehow loosened up after being fine for atleast 4 months. If thats not it, then just get in there and start wiggling stuff and see what moves. Good luck :nice:
