    Mustang Il Member Roll Call

Not that it matters, but it never really had much traffic anyway. I was a mod over there on the II forum and it seems all the traffic goes to the classic forums...lots of the older generation talking about "the way things used to be." In a way, I'm kind of surprised that's still going. I was...

    Oh No Another Muffler Thread!!

Very nice indeed, but yes, rather pricey. I bought mine 12 years ago and they were pricey then...I got a decent deal through a group purchase. Now, I'm astounded what they are going for. Ouch.

    Oh No Another Muffler Thread!!

I've got a Bassani cat-back on my '03 GT. I love the sound of it...nice, throaty, how a V8 should sound. 10/10, would buy again.

official 4.6 liter Mustang photo thread

This thread has come quite a ways since it's beginning. I see I had a shot of my '03 GT up here a few years ago but it seems the image disappeared. No biggie, it's time for some updated shots anyway... With my 2003 Sonic Blue GT having been repainted earlier this year, here are some pictures...

    The Tragic Tale of ElSuperPinto

He ain't sellin'. He's bluffing. How long has he been hemming and hawing about a new daily to replace that F-150? How many times has he said of a spare parts II, "If only I had the money and a place to park it"? HOW MANY TIMES HAS HE THREATENED TO SELL THE II? I'm telling ya, he ain't selling.

    The Time Has Come.. Maybe..

If you've got the resources to fix the issues, go for it! My '03 GT has 176K on it and runs quite strong...it does need a new muffler though and I'll be addressing the suspension next year (just need to renew some bits and pieces) but other than that I love the car and am not going to let it go...

    Turn Signal Issue...flasher Module?

Thanks. The latter is what I was afraid of. The bulb would be easy, but - though likely - it would be a heck of a coincidence given that this is happening regardless of direction. Although I've always figured there's something screwy with the MFS. Every so often when I turn on the turn signal...

    Turn Signal Issue...flasher Module?

Another recent development with my 2003 GT is that the turn signal's behavior is a bit "erratic." When I signal either left or right, it will come on normally for a few flashes and then start skipping, as best as I can describe. So if normally it goes tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock...

Where To Apply Silicone On Headlights

:) Not a bad idea...I'm mostly there; I try not to drive it when rain is expected and it's never been washed any other way but by hand. My big issue is that it doesn't have covered storage...it's always in the elements. The downsides of townhouse living...

Where To Apply Silicone On Headlights

Yeah, I've taken the drying into account. I figure that's a pretty important step otherwise what's the point, right? I've heard about drilling the hole as well, but I wonder if that would actually work? It seems there's a little "spout" on the assembly that lets air pass, yet they still get the...

Where To Apply Silicone On Headlights

One of the headlights on my '03 (though new) is showing signs of moisture on the inside of the lens. The headlights are new units, though they are not genuine Ford parts...they're the SVE units from LMR. This is actually the second set from them...the first set were returned under warranty and...

No Fuel Filter On 2003 Model Year?

Okay, this is news to me. Pardon my ignorance...but care to enlighten me on how that works? Is there a fuel filter IN the fuel tank now that's supposed to last for eleventy billion miles or whatever? Or has the need for a fuel filter been eliminated (which I seriously doubt)? Don't mean to sound...

Can You Identify The Sound In This Video?

Could be the throw out bearing. Begs the question why it wasn't replaced while everything was out for a rebuild, especially if it sounded that bad before.

    Car Warming Up

I would say so. How are you measuring that? Are you driving it and it takes that long for the needle on the temp gauge to get to where it should be? Or are you letting it idle up to temp? My 2003 GT, still with the stock thermostat, does take some time to get up to temp. I'll drive for about 3...

    Mustang Creaking Noise

Wow, I just came in here to ask the same thing! Mine is quite similar to what's in the video but mine only seems to do it when I turn the wheels to the left from centered. If they turn right from centered, there's no creaking. The ball joints have never been replaced and one of the tie rods was...

2003 Mustang Gt Quarter Window Trim Repair Question

Now that my GT has been painted, I think I'm going to turn my attention to the black trim that's on it and try to at least spruce it up to look black again. Looking back, I should've asked the shop to do something with the strip of metal or whatever that's at the leading edge of the quarter...

    Need Help With Oxidation.

One possibility is that there's coolant leaking somewhere and getting sprayed around the engine compartment. Are you losing or low on coolant?

    Resource Discussion Craigslist Links

This KC is still up for grabs in York, PA...I posted it earlier and it's still around apparently. There's a price listed now though...$11,500. It's in pretty decent shape but at the very least the decals need freshening up. https://york.craigslist.org/cto/d/1978-ford-mustang-king/6319215162.html

    Sn-95 Shelbys?

Oh crap, I missed the part about a '98. Yeah, that'd be a different beast altogether. At least the hood would be mostly flat rather than having to work with pre-existing scoops...would just have to work around the "vents" on the sides of the hood. But...yeah...the narrowing of those lines are...

    Sn-95 Shelbys?

The '99/'01 Cobra hood (or '03/'04 V6 hood; same thing) might be a decent start for this. Or maybe modify a Termi hood somehow. But,I do tend to agree that with the way the lines of the hood kind of "narrow" towards the front of the car, the GT500-style extractor may not look quite right.
