    New 60 Foot times with new 4.10's

    FYI- I went from a 2.73 to a 4.10 60' went from 2.45 to 2.154 Thats w/ drag radials. I know its not that great but its a convertible with a stock automatic trans.

    You really think thats it? I did have a shudder, actually I still do occasionaly. Whats that cost parts/labor? I hate to ask... Will a bad convertor cause these symptoms???

    Any chance the car doesn't know when to shift because of the 4.10's? What if its shifting from 2-3 too late? It gets to around 6k which is when I get that sloppy shift.     Do I have a choice how long I hold onto 1st? I just put it in drive, leave at 2K and keep the pedal to the floor. It think I'd be better on street tires sometimes, at least if it spins it spins consistently.

    Everything in the drivetrain is stock (except the 4.10's). I'm not running a shift kit and I've got nitto'd.

    It squeels second gear on street tires but the 2-3 shift feels so sloppy. Anybody think the trans could have something to do with it?

    Yep and I'm not trying to manually shift it either. It went into overdrive just as I passed through the lights. Which I guess is just about where you'd want it ( about 5500). But I gotta be sure to take OD off next time just in case. Do you guys think the drag radials are hurting me? It does...

    Its an automatic and its shifting around 55-5700. I don't know how its spinning with drag radials. I was getting convertor shudder last year and when it shifts into 3rd the rpms surge about 300 rmp and it feels like it would if it was down shifting at a high rmp it kinda makes ya come forward...

    I finally joined NHRA and got a competition number. Whats the deal with the number? Do I put it on the car before I go to the track or does the tech guy do that? Can it be in "shoepolish" or does it have to be in vinyl? Where does the number go??? Thanks!
