Help me get my stance right (lots of pics)

It looks like I'll be going with the 4.75 bs then if it allows the larger tires... your setup looks about as close to perfect as I could hope to get. What about 7" width on the front? Is there any benefit to that?

    Alpine headunit install-FINISHED

Good god dude, that sucks. I'm getting a train horn and wiring it up to my alarm now. As for hiding the rear 6x9s, take off the grilles, mount the speakers themselves to the metal tray, wrap the package tray board-stuff with the holes cut in it in appropriate colored headliner with some spray...

Help me get my stance right (lots of pics)

I like the setup you have, but if only the front wheels would push a small bit farther out to match the rears. I was going to go with the 4.5bs since - as I understand it - that would push the wheels that extra quarter inch outward. Plus, 4.5bs is much easier to find (and cheaper)... are you...

Help me get my stance right (lots of pics)

Does anyone know who the owners of any of the cars below are, or what setup they're running? <img src="http://www.gellpak.com/images/mustangs/stance/goodstance11.jpg"> <img src="http://www.gellpak.com/images/mustangs/stance/goodstance13.jpg"> <img...

    Help me plan my setup

GREAT advice... thanks guys, this helps out a lot... I think I'll wait on the rear fill speakers but pick up an amp that can drive them, just in case. I'll see how it sounds and then decide on that. If I want to have a knob controlling the sub intensity up at the front of the car, does that...

Help me get my stance right (lots of pics)

My plans are for 17x8 Smoothie II's, but I want to make sure I get the right look. I like a slightly higher riding car, more muscular looking. I like the wheel/tires to almost exactly match the vertical lines of the car (where fender flare ends, drop down a bit and wheel should be on the same...

Which first, subframes or engine reinforcement?

Can't find anything about a reenforcing plate on the site... is this just a fabbed up item or is it commercially available with the MC bar? When buying a front sway, is there any real difference between the 1" and the 1 1/8"? Besides 6 bucks?

Which first, subframes or engine reinforcement?

I'm checking out mustang depot here and they have the normal export brace, and then the shelby style export brace. No pics. Which do I want?

    Wheels?

9" wide though is an inch too big... they won't tuck properly

Which first, subframes or engine reinforcement?

Well I plan to do all of these eventually, but money dictates that it be piece-by-piece. The engine bay work would be cheaper, but if I'm going to do one or the other first, which will make more of a difference?

Which first, subframes or engine reinforcement?

I have to start with one or the other. Should I go with TCP's full subframe connector setup first, or do the engine bay with monte carlo bar, export brace, and maybe a front sway?

    Help me plan my setup

The car is a '66 mustang coupe, which already has an aftermarket stereo in it that I did a couple years ago. Right now I have: A premiere 500w head unit Two older alpine 6x9s in the package tray Two 6 1/2 pioneers in the kickpanels The front dash speaker that was in there when I got the...

Got any pictures of them installed? They look kind of... huge

    Securing package tray?

The rearmost edge of mine kind of slides up under the rear window and out of sight, holding the back of the tray in place. Try pushing down in the back and pressing it up under there. Also, a nice tweak to make to hide the speakers is to take off those grilles (which don't hold very well to...

    Securing package tray?

I've spent years packing soft stuff under my rear package tray to keep it from creating buzzing noises when the 6x9" speakers underneath it play, with relatively good success... problem is, there is no good way to secure it in the front, just that little clippy thing, which I've also had to pad...

    Tweeters in 66 A pillars?

That looks pretty good, and it solves the dilemma of what to put in that spot when I remove the window cranks... maybe there'd be a way to angle those upwards a bit so the sound was more properly directed. Flush mounted at an angle would probably look pretty clean.

    Tweeters in 66 A pillars?

Does anyone offer the proper fittings (right term?) to accomodate this? I know I've seen gauge pod types of things, but I really have no plan to put any of that on the pillars... just the small little speakers to compliment the larger ones I've got in my kick panels. Don't want to make it too...

Photos of 65/66 coupes with spoilered trunk lid?

That first one is horrific. The second is exactly what I'm talking about... anyone have more of these?

Photos of 65/66 coupes with spoilered trunk lid?

Yeah, see that's what I'm afraid of. I don't want it to look like I went out and just started adding body kits to the car thinking that'd make it look good. Needs to be tasteful, so I'm thinking hard on it. That's about as rice as you can get. An example pic since I don't think I'm being...
