    Cranks But Wont Start

I took everything apart to paint the engine bay and install some parts (headers, valve covers, fox throttle body swap). I unplugged nearly every plug that was on the fender aprons so i could move them out of the way to paint everything. I finally got everything back together and the engine...

    Help - Clutch Pedal Jumps

Z bar looks perfect. It did not look bent. I cleaned it up and repainted it. I installed new bushings and felt washers on buth ends. With no springs or anything hooked up to it, it swings back and forth really smooth. There is no binding at all. What ever the problem is, I really think it is...

The assist spring under the dash has been removed. It is not the problem. I had a few different catalogs that I was using. Unfortunately Glazier/Nolan wasn't one of them. Thanks

    Planning My Rebuild

Ok. I will keep the ABS. I hope I can put together a set up that will work with my finned ford racing valve covers and still fit under the cobra hood. So what are the engine building tricks that people talk about for building a 347 that will last?

    Clutch pedal jumps - help

Thanks, I will try removing the spring. I hope the new style pressure plate is better and the problem can be easily solved. I really don't want to have to pull the tranny. I don't think "clutch shatter" has anything to do with it. What I am talking about is experienced while just sitting in...

    Clutch pedal jumps - help

I just rebuilt the 302 in our 69 mustang that had sat for 20 years. Replaced the clutch and now the clutch pedal wants to jump half way through release. This causes a very jumpy take off. It just wont release smooth and easy. Ever seen this before? Any ideas what I did wrong?

    Planning My Rebuild

Thanks for all of the quick replies :SN: I really don't want to put a bigger exhaust system than what I have (listed above). I already have enough of a problem with my exhaust being too low and getting banged up (3rd set of cats), and that is with polyurethane motor mounts which raised things...

Replaced PIP sensor in distributor, still dies

It is the factory fuel pump as far as I know. I have replaced the fuel filter a couple times. Once when it died I checked the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail and gas squirted out so I don't think fuel is the problem. How do I test the TFI module?

    performance distributer?

Is there any good reason to get a performance distributer? My plan originally was a built N/A 302. Im just heads and cam away from that goal. But recently I have been thinking about a N/A 347 to keep up with the factory fast coming out lately. The car keeps dying on me so I'm pretty sure its...
