    i have several plugs with ash deposits on them and my car has been running like crap! also burning oil like crazy! a local shop told me ash deposits are from burnt oil, usually caused by bad valve guides. im 80% sure my problems are somewhere in the valvetrain, but this is just what somebody...

    yeah that sounds alot like mine, then im guessing that could be my problem. mine will usually smoke at WOT but when it idles back down it will smoke then clean itself out. another thing is.. i can drive it easy without stomping on it, and it wont smoke hardly at all, but as soon as i rev it up...

    thanks for the replys! i checked out my PCV valve it seems to have plenty of vacuum. but i went lookin for some kind of screen and found nothing? gonna do a compression test tomarrow, hopefully everythings ok, then ill just buy a set of AFRs and call it good for now. just as long as the smoke...

    cars going to the shop to get a new oil pan gasket, while its in there its also having the bassani headers and O/R x pipe installed. my question is, while the pan is off, should i go ahead and put a high volume oil pump in there, or just put a stock replacement. i dont plan on taking the pan off...

    thanks for the advice man, i tried plenty of penetrating lube and an impact wrench, still couldnt get them loose? although i was being careful not trying to break them off. so i guess what im wondering is, what happens when, or if break one off?
