Emissions-legal Turbo Kit for 87-93 Mustang?

The old Incon kit's supposedly carried a CARB exemption sticker and I believe were the only kit's which had them.

Calling all tech wizards, here's a doozy....

The stock balancer has an inner and outer ring separated by some sort of polymer or rubber layer. With age, the rubber wears out and allows the outer ring to spin. This can go years without knowing. It's not until you either; remove the balancer and inspect it or attempt to set the base timing...

Calling all tech wizards, here's a doozy....

You need to rotate the engine to find #1 TDC WITHOUT using the harmonic balacer. You have already commented that you previously had someone stab the dizzy while reading the balancer...and then you come back and say the dizzy is now pointing at 8? Grab a long screwdriver and MANUALLY rotate the...

    MSNS-E (high_res) with ls2 COP's

My grinding job on the balancer just wasn't close enough. I had a slight wobble on the 36-1 wheel which was throwing things off. Also, I had originally snagged the two center wires off of the TFI plug as it was my understanding they were both 12v start and run. Well, one wasn't....and I...

    MSNS-E (high_res) with ls2 COP's

Ok, got the coils/brackets mounted. I had to temporarily remove the sway bar to gain clearance for positioning...and ultimately, getting some shielding to protect the coils from water will be an immediate necessity. Here is the passenger side coil bracket location (as seen from...

    MSNS-E (high_res) with ls2 COP's

I had to open up the holes a bit for the larger 5.0 bolt pattern. Here you can see how it interfaces with the balancer. You'll notice I had to open up the center hole a bit too. Here is the stack without the balancer machined down. The pilot of the balancer should be somewhat...

    MSNS-E (high_res) with ls2 COP's

Some of you may have already seen my post on this over at turbomustangs...but I figured I'd still post it here for those who don't venture there. Here is what I've found to be the new "easiest" method to get the board up to par. To start off, if you have done the TFI mod to the...

This whole thing wreaks of a spun harmonic balancer.

That doesn't make the mains any thicker. Seriously, it's only going to keep the pieces together when the block splits.

    New from Greenville SC

Hey hey...I'm trying to get a Job in Greenville as we speak! I worked there ~ 8-9 years ago and loved it! Great area, great weather, awesome people! My only gripe was those crazy drivers that would STOP on an entrance ramp to the freeway trying to yield! This of course while I'm looking over...

Sources for blowers/fans for exhaust venting

Thanks to Shaolin Crane, I now have what I feel will be an adequate blower on the way (at no cost I might add). The only request...to pay it forward, so I will happily oblige. :nice: I'll go ahead and add a link to the build in a new thread when I get started. First things first though....a...

Sources for blowers/fans for exhaust venting

CFM's...I'm not sure. I was thinking that anything out of a dryer or furnace would likely be oversized. Really, not only will the blower be used for drawing exhaust through the tubes, but it will be used for cooling the cheap dryer hose I'll be running by sucking in air to cool the exhaust...

    FloorJack

If anyone has a Costco around them I strongly suggest checking out their Arcan 3.5 Ton jack. I picked up a membership specifically for the Jack...and it kicks some serious ass. Not only is it low profile (3.5") , but it has a pretty damn high lift height as well at 21 3/8". At only $99, you...

Sources for blowers/fans for exhaust venting

I'm curious if anyone knows of any sources for blowers/fans that come in existing equipment/appliances. I'm looking for free sources on craigslist. The only thing that comes to mind is a furnace or perhaps a dryer. What other sources can be had? Squirrel cage style fans would be preferable...

Need a clutch for 500+ rwhp

When I had my T5 and 3550, I had excellent results with my Clutch Dynamics unit. It held the power great and was very manageable on the street. You can see a little bit of the street manners at the beginning of the vid here... Twin Turbo Mustang Crisin' - Car Videos on StreetFire They...

    Let's see your garage thread!

Thanks! Unfortunately it won't be until spring now...as the stang has storage insurance only and won't see the roads. Hopefully I can get some new numbers come spring! :nice: At Least it was you that fried it not the person you bought it from lol! I'm going to replace the direct drive...
