Wheel and Tire Suggestions? -- 65 Mustang -- PICS!

Do you have a pic of a car with these on it? Looks interesting. Also...I can't seem to be able to find the thread were the guy with the green mustang (above) posted a bunch of pics. That has to be of the the cleanest 68's ever. I just wanted to see a side shot with those wheels. If I...

    Coil spring compressor

Just place an order with Opentracker for other stuff you need and I'm sure he'll throw the template in no charge (of course, you can't quote me on that as I in no way represent Opentracker. I just know from this forum and other dealings that he has a history of being a very good guy to do...

Hi, 1.)I was thinking of buying 275's for the rear and 245's for the front. Can I use 17x8's all the way around or do I need to get a 17x9.5 for the rear? 2.) What backspacing do I need with a 8" granada rear and a a.)17x8 or b.) 17x9.5 1968 coupe, granada discs/8" rear

How much did you pay for AFR 165's?

Just wondering. Have heard great things about them but haven't seen a pair for less than $1300. Which probably is a fine deal considering the #'s in this article: http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/116_0307_ford_302_v8_engine_buildup/ I'm sure it's been posted before - it's from a few...

Quick master cylinder rod length question

The old master cylinder (it's a 68 coupe) was dual already. Apparently I can't use it because it was made for a drum/drum set up, and not for the disc/drum setup I have now. From other threads I gather they operate differently. Still no thoughts on removing the rod from the MC?

Quick master cylinder rod length question

So I just yank it out? Is there a technique to pulling those rods out without ruining it? There's a retainer clip on the new one that doesn't look like it would come out easily... Thanks

Quick master cylinder rod length question

Just got a new 79' Granada manual master cylinder from Napa. The new rod appears to be almost 1" longer than the rod from the original master cylinder. Also, I don't see how to remove a rod from the master cylinder once I get it in there, so I want to do it right the first time. Should I use...

    Cutting coil springs while installed?

+1 to latamud. What kind of coils are you cutting? If they are 1" drop 620's you shouldn't have to compress them at all. If you unbolt the bottom of the shock it should lower the upper A-arm to give you enough slack to rotate the spring out, or atleast to a good place to cut. I haven't cut...

    Quick MC question

Thanks:SNSign: So disc/drum MC from 68 mustang will work, as well as from a nonpower granada. Anything else - what's this '74 Maverick MC I keep reading about?

    Quick MC question

Quick simple question I have after searching the forums- I have a 1968 coupe which was originally drum/drum. I put the granada discs on the front. I have the prop valve from the Granada. Do I need to change my MC as well?

    1" or 1 1/8" sway bar?

From your posts I'm now leaning toward the 1" bar. I do in the future plan to install some frame connectors, monte carlo bar and export brace (and now, rear sway bar). Sounds like the 1" bar should still be fine even after those mods. BTW, thanks for the help guys. Very informative. I do...

    1" or 1 1/8" sway bar?

From what I've seen, the price difference is negligable ($5). Is there any reason not to go with the 1 1/8 inch bar, or is it just for racing? I'm looking to do some spirited street driving and keep up with my buddy's 84' turbo Volvo in the corners. I've seen suggestions for both in the...

EFI S/C question in 68 coupe...

To me, mpg is an indicator of two things - how much it costs to drive and how effecient the motor is running. The fact that 68efi was able to achieve over 370 rwhp (so, maybe 450 at the flywheel?) and acheive nearly the same fuel consumption as a stock 5.0 (225 h.p.) means he doubled the...

25 mpg and 350 h.p. - how to do it?

Well... that's the question assuming I'm starting with a 87 - 93 5.0 with MAF and stock internals and a T5. What are your ideas?

Here's a link to a good thread in 5.0 tech on fuel mileage. This is what got me thinking in the direction I indicated at first. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=534229&highlight=supercharger

    Penetrating Oil Test

Wow, can't argue with results like that. I guess you'd just need a good spray bottle that could stand up to the acetone.
