    I'll throw in Murphy's Oil Soap. Folks, I think its the light grade oil in the peanut butter, wd-40, back to black, etc. that acts as a mild solvent and breaks down the wax. Anything with a bit of oilyness to it might work. Key is not to use something that breaks down the plastic too...

    Thanks, Hissin50. The car's cam is stock (is that what you mean by "a little cammy"?). I'll begin by checking the wires and plugs like you suggest. But.....what if.....connections are good and the plugs are all firing. What are your next thoughts? Thanks again.
