I am replacing the chrome carrier on the trunk lock and want to keep my original mechanism as it is the original ...damn key is so smooth, you can probably pick it with a tooth pick. I can't get the mech out of the housing....Help Well, I'll try again, I got no answers on my inverted...

    Wheelhop?

Wheel hop? If you used to be able to do this before without hop and you've made no torque/HP or suspension mods then my guess is that it is not wheel hop. A mustang is a very light car, I've managed to get mine down to 2790lbs. with me in it; vintage air, electric windows and all. I pull...

    Transmission Vacuum Hookup?

C-4 Transmission I think the C-4 is one of the best transmissions you can put in a classic stang. Ford just didn't know how to tweek it just so. If you really want to get setup and your automatic type-o-guy: ASIDE: An automatic transmission set up properly and the exact same car with your...

    65 Rear Seat Belts

Law or not given the fact that from a safety consideration a 1965 Mustang is a death trap on the modern road, (5000 lb. SUVs every third car), No seat belts, no ride.

    What type of fuel pump

Go Holley I run a fairly hungry 289 and use two holley, electric pumps. One is dedicated to the carb, the other is dedicated to a separate 1 gallon tank for NOS fuel (I run 110 or 117 when I can get it). The holley blue and red have worked great for me about a saw-buck and you get a pump...

I'm running into some mounting options and wondered if anyone had been here before. I run the stock early '65 289 block, later model timing chain cover, all March pulleys (v-grove), Vintage Air, TPS R&P with the stock power steering pump. Is there an aftermarket power steering pump...

    headliner install how to??

I highly recommend the tried and true method. Take it to an upholstery shop. Of all the "do-it-yerself" stuff I have been told that the headliner is by far a no-brainer. Unless you only make 5 bucks an hour it just does not pay to do it yourself. -Q

    Classic Coupe Gauge pods?

Some great ideas! My only reservation with an under-dash type of mount is that I run the aftermarket console and have a vintage air unit. Meaning, the center part of the dash is pretty darned crowded already. I'm ver interested in the guage pod attempts folks have made. Depending on the...

TCP power R&P now only 2500

I will complete the power Rack installation tomorrow on my 64 1/2 coupe. I guess I got lucky, my complete kit; hoses, etc. was 2000 plus tax. In defense (after reading the thread I need too), there are a few items I prefer to have a solid company and support for. ONe of those on my car is...
