    Fuel cell idea

Yeah, my idea wouldn't be completely sealing off the trunk, at least I don't think. What I'm thinking of would actually be a pretty complete boxing in of the trunk. There would be a panal on the curved portion of the back of the trunk, then one along each of the spines running down the wheel...

I hate electrical gremlins... advice needed

Ok, new problem. Just went through the wiring and I can't seem to find any problems. Now... when I try to start my car, it turns over and begins to start, but doesn't. Just dies, especially if the air cleaner is on. I have to seriously work the gas pedal to keep it running. Then when I turn...

I hate electrical gremlins... advice needed

Hey all, Of couse after I finally get my car back on the road another problem surfaces. After leaving it down a week and a half, I started it up fine. Drove it two days, then in the morning on the third day, the batt was dead. Took it to work to charge- dead. This is the second Optima my car...

    Fuel cell idea

I'd heard about the foam disitigrating before... kinda turned me off to the whole foam filled bladder idea. Sure your fine for 3000 hours, but after that you gotta buy a new pump, new lines, and at the very least rebuild your carb or new injectors if your EFI. Seems to me the way to go to...

Rear Leaf Springs on a 70 Mustang?

On mine I went with the 5 leaf mideyes, dropped the rear about an inch or so. That and some KYBs were plenty for me. It's stiff enough that I can sometimes feel the car try to swing it's tail out over the differential on tight turns at speed (though a panhard rod would fix that). Mine doesn't...

    Help on Choosing new intake

Not an expert here, but from what I've read/heard/seen the Weiand Stealth seems to be a great all around manifold. Seems to make great power on strokers as well. Just my .02 The Swede

    Baers are on!!!.... Mostly... [pics]

The pedal is still hard, I'm not gonna lie and say 'oh it's a snap to step on it". You gotta have a good right quad. But it seems to me the effort may be a bit more, but it get's more use out of it. I probable since driving (still with drum brake driving style) haven't pushed the pedal in more...

    Baers are on!!!.... Mostly... [pics]

Ok, just got back from work, so no pics right now.. but here's a bedtime story for you all. :) The kit went together pretty well, it was the car itself that gave me the most problems. I finished up the wheel assemblies and set to work on the MC. Well, the distribution valve knew it was...

A console is born!!! Well, almost...

Unfortunately... a couple things have halted the console. 1. I got my brake kit in and as I'm now going to be driving 30 mi to schol. that seemed like a more needed project. 2. apparently I was bit by a spider when working on said brakes... which then got infected by a staph germ by my...

Help, need to find more stuff for EFI swap.

I'm also thinking about using the EFI stuff I have laying around. My thoughts on how to mount everything was to turn the area right behind the back seats into a 'command center' (quoting GP). There I'd put the batt in the middle, then the solonoid, the fuse box and the computer. All mounting...

    Baers are on!!!.... Mostly... [pics]

Write up... Alrighty... for those who are getting ready to or planning on doing a baer upgrade... this is what I've done/needed so far for the sports. 1. Jack the car up and put it on some jack stands (Baer recco's 3 ton- I got no prob with that) 2. Pull off the old stuff. Pop the dust cap...

Alrighty, so far after 2 days and about 10 hours of work... I have two spiffy looking spindles mounted with 12" Baer sport package brakes... and a PITA distribution block that won't give up the lines :( Here is the spindle with the mounting brackets for the PBR calipers. I wanted a little...

    BAER master cylinder plumbing help...

Hey everyone, finally got around to ordering my brakes and such, and I'm getting ready to put them on. ran into a little problem though. IS it pretty universal that the back reservoir is for the fronts and the front is for the rear? I know the back port has a larger fitting than the front one...

A console is born!!! Well, almost...

Well, I went with the 1/4" plywood cause it was something I'm used to working with. The body filller was to help me make a nice smooth transition from one level to another. The console is going to be upholstered in black vinyl. Thanks for the info PCH... if I can't find any in the next...
