    just your average balancer questions

From my research I have found out a lot of the info I will need to pick the right balancer, but I just want to double check if I have it correct and some more questions too. The top two balancers are Romac and Pioneer/powerbond. The pioneer is more in my price range. The balancer should be a...

    stock rev limiter rpm?

Ya I do this in neutral. I know its not good for the engine. I try to not make it too hard on the engine by only doing it for a second. Do you mean the engine actually turns off? like you have to put it in neutral and you have to restart the engine?

    Well it turns out.....

the MAF could be bad, but not quite worth buying a new one just to find out that wasn't the problem.

    EGR Removal

The best and easiest way to get the the EGR tube off is to use a crows foot (not sure if that is the real name or slang, google it) an extention or two and a socket wrench. Keeps your hands out of the tight space, and it is so easy. :nice:

    stock rev limiter rpm?

shouldn't it still do that pulsating rev when i hit the rev limiter though, because it just revs to 5,500 and is one continuous tone?

Need intake ideals for my new combo

I think that the TFS-R intake would look the coolest, but thats just me, and I am pretty sure that you are more interested how it will work than look :D . Just my 2 cents

Are valve cover breathers a big vacuum leak?

Is it ok to just eliminate the PCV valve and tubing at the rear of the intake manifold? I could leave the tube going from the filler neck to the intake tube so that there is still ventilation, but I have oil coming up the PCV valve going into the manifold and fowling my two rear plugs. I would...

    stock rev limiter rpm?

so this is normal and not something wrong with the car?

    Well it turns out.....

Those two codes can be thrown by the MAF going bad or maybe just needing to be cleaned with some CRC electronics cleaner. You are right, it is unlikely both the o2's went bad at the same time. That is exactly what I thought when this happened to me. My symptoms were different though...

    What timing chain?

That might be the wrong part. That one says it is for, 62-84. The part you would want is CLO-9-3138 for 84 and up. It doesnt make sense being both have 84 included in the years, and any 302 should be the same part, so it is probably the same but that one is six bucks cheaper anyways :nice: LOL...

Update Finally! V6 to Cobra Conversion Progress (lots of pics)

looks awsome. Are you putting emissions equipment on this car? It would be awsome to use 96 and up electric smog pump. the hoses and valves and pump could all be out of sight. i saw a red 94-95 with one of those double cowl w/ a scoop hoods on mustangworld.com and there was basicly nothing but...

    stock rev limiter rpm?

what is the rpm for the stock rev limiter? The car will only rev to 5,500 and does not hit a rev limiter. It just doesnt seem to have anymore to go, its topped out? I know this probably is not good for the engine. Im not interested in reving up to 6,000. I am just trying to figure out if there...

    exhaust cut outs

I have to replace my cats on my xpipe and im thinking of putting some cut outs right before them also. Has anyone done this? Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? Will the lack of back pressure hurt the engine? Thanks

    help, mixed up vac lines

what color vacuum line goes to the EGR and what color line goes to the intake manifold next to the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line? Also, where do those color coded vacuum lines go to inside of the passenger side fender? Thanks

the engine oil pressure sensor is between the oil filter and timing chain cover:nice:

oil in PCV tubes and intake runners

Im at 122K miles. There is not much if any consumption. all of the spark plugs looked nearly new except for the rear two, so i dont think that i need rings or seals yet, but the oil coming in through the intake is probably running to the rear two cylinders because of the angle of the engine and...

    emissions control vacuum lines

Those extremely brittle color coded vacuum lines that come out of that right fender along with the MAF and IAT, that goes to the EGR, intake manifold, and two air injection valves. What is the correct name for these lines? Where do they go inside the fender? What/where is their vacuum source...
