The thread of the nicest FOXES!

89BLUEGT Nice looking car. What brand hood is that? How was the quality?

    Mechanical Gauges?

There is a gauge cage that uses three 2" gauges in the vent panel, but you'll lose the vents. Or, you could try Forida5.0, who makes just about anything for just about anything.

    Mechanical Gauges?

Not true- mine are Mechanical and liquid filled, Sport Comp Silvers:

Cold air blowing on passenger floor

Nope. Not real sure where to check, actually. This is one system in these cars that I know next to nothing about. Not to hijack my own thread, but I have to ask about your hood in the sig. If you don't mind, what's the brand, how much was it, are you happy with the quality? I'm planning on...

Cold air blowing on passenger floor

No, the heat works equally well on both sides; the problem is that there's cold air coming in as well. Thanks for taking a shot though.

Cold air blowing on passenger floor

So, apparently Ford only made five cars with this problem and I'm the only person who owned any of them...?

    Light weight sub enclosures

Too late, I already have the components. It's a system I built and have been using for years. The only thing I may do is go from two 12's to one, since I always felt the bass was a bit overkill for me. I'm not buying any new components though, and what I have is heavy. That's why I want to save...

    Light weight sub enclosures

Well, I have audio carpet that's a perfect match for my interior, so I was planning to carpet whatever it ends up being. I never did fiberglass work though, so I'd have to farm it out... I was hoping for a material I can work with myself. I've built hundreds of boxes, but all out of MDF...

Cold air blowing on passenger floor

This is a problem I had with my '79 Capri, my '84 GT, my '89 LX, my '91 GT, and my '93 Cobra is doing it too. I'm assuming it's a Fox problem, if not a Ford problem. I did a search and only came up with cold air intakes, so I'm posting this thread in hopes that someone else knows WTF causes...

    Light weight sub enclosures

Well, I pulled all my stereo crap out of my GT, but I'm hesitating on putting it in my Cobra. The main thing is the weight, those MDF boxes are heavy. So I got to thinking: when I worked in car audio years ago, we frequently put plexiglass windows in high end sub enclosers. Assuming it's lighter...

    Low Coolant Light

I accidentally unplugged it once in my GT, the result was that the light was almost always on. Then I couldn't get the little bastard plugged in again. There must be a trick to it, I gave up.

    Synthetic to Motorcraft oil?

Me too, but I get it at Autobone for $2.95. I haven't seen what I get at Walmart. I never heard that ALL motorcraft oils are blended synth though... there's Motorcraft "regular" 10-30 on the shelf (for over a dollar less per quart) right next to the blended 10-30 that I buy . Interesting.

What maf sensor should I have?

Part # on the MAS in the 55mm POS MAF in my Cobra is F1ZF.

The thread of the nicest FOXES!

Good news for me. That way I can put real Cobra R's on my Cobra without converting to five lug, losing the ability to use the original turbines. Sweet!

What maf sensor should I have?

If you still have the A9L computer, than the Cobra MAF is ready to work with your 19#ers.
  16. stangbear427

What maf sensor should I have?

Yes, it's true. Rather than recalibrate the MAF for the 24s, SVT re-used the 19# sensor and made the conversion in the computer. Cobras don't use the A9L, they use the X3C, which amongst other things, allows the use of the 24# injectors with a 19# MAF.
  17. stangbear427

What maf sensor should I have?

You shouldn't. The calibration for the '93 Cobra 70mm MAF is done in the unique Cobra computer. The sensor electronics are the same as the one in the normal 55mm 5.0 MAF. If you're still concerned though, you can sell your Cobra MAF to me :D I'm looking for one.

How much heaver is the 351 than the 302?

Nice looking ride Dave. Love the driving 5.0 badge pic!:nice:

How much heaver is the 351 than the 302?

I have done all three, and ridden in examples of all three- so apparently I meet your criteria as qualified to judge.
