    I finally Graduated (HS)

Enjoy your summer, my summer between HS and college was a blast, haven't matched it yet.

I thought this was kinda funny

Ever heard of the "Enlightened Buddah"? I was driving my previous 95 GT with my friend, and we blasted by a ricer trying to max out his RPM's on a two lane onramp. The look on his face was priceless, we named him the "Enlightened Buddah".

    Mustang's faking a fever

Not necessarily after a head install, but I know what you're talking about. Does your thermostat have the small hole drilled in it? Are you taking the procedure to burp the cooling system?

    how reliable is the 2.3?

I've never owned one, but I can only assume they got even worse gas mileage than their EFI counterparts. And our EFI 2.3's get horrible city mileage.

    how reliable is the 2.3?

My daily driver 1991 LX has 240,800 miles on it, completely original motor and original T5. I just took it on an 8000 mile road trip from Jacksonville, FL to the Rocky Mts, Great Salt Lake Desert, Four State Corners, Los Angeles, Roswell NM, and finally back to Jacksonville. Got 30mpg like...

    new personal record

Damn, I have only gotten one warning in my relatively short driving career, and a TON of other tickets ranging from excessive speed (emphasis on excessive) to too dark of tint. To date, no points on the license... gotta love the courts and with hold adjudication.

    92 4 banger notch

If its a 5 spd its the T5, if its an automatic its the A4LD. Neither will bolt to a 302 directly, although the T5 itself will bolt to a 302 bellhousing, the input shaft is completely different and will not work. Also consider the 4 banger's T5 is rated for torque less than a stock 302. Be...

What happens if I beat on a new clutch?

You're right, freeway miles won't do jack for it. If it were me, I'd drive it normally, no more no less. Just try and keep the clutch slippage to a minimum, and don't race it. 500 miles is like what, two tanks of gas? Shouldn't take that long. You want to give it time to cool off...

    Walbro 255lph on stock motor

I initially ran mine with a stock FPR. The only reason I went adjustable was to try and tune the car, NOT because of the large pump. With a TwEECer, there's really no need for the AFPR anymore. I actually experimented and watched the EEC compensate for my fuel pressure changes through my...

What happens if I beat on a new clutch?

I had installed 3 king cobras before this last one (4th). The day after install, I got stuck in stop and go traffic because the interstate was blocked. 4 hours, no fun. The clutch chatters pretty bad now when its at normal operating temp. Its tooth rattling annoying... I've got to replace...

    Walbro 255lph on stock motor

Loud is a determing factor, but unfortunately they don't have a "check fuel pump" light. For example, my 2.3L had 229,000 miles on the stock fuel pump, that thing was loud as a Jumbo F'n Jet. No problems, I just changed it because the sound was annoying. Could've gone another 100k...

    Walbro 255lph on stock motor

Absolutely, the returning fuel system will dump the rest back into the tank for use another time. :) It will be safe.

Is it worth rebuilding this T5?

Budget only allows me to place my T5 behind my new 351W with AFRs, FTI Cam, TFR intake, exhaust, etc etc. Budget will allow me in a few months to install G-Force internals. In the mean time... the T5 already gives me a rare 2nd and 3rd gear grind when racing, and often grinds 2nd when...

Here's the powertrain as it stands, comments?

95, I need to keep the 91 a 4cyl to stay sane with these gas prices.

Here's the powertrain as it stands, comments?

Yeah, ran out of budget figuring out how to fit this thing into the car. Almost did a poor man's stroker, but decided not to waste my money on cheap parts, and just waste no money using the stock parts. When I'm out of college in a few years, I'll be stroking it upwards 400+ cubic inches...

Here's my 351W setup as it stands, please comment on what I could do differently for a little more power here or there. 1976 351W block .030 over (SET) AFR 185 58cc stud heads (PLANNED) Hydraulic Roller Conversion (SET) FTI Custom Hydraulic Roller Cam (SET) Edelbrock Performer RPM 351...

    351W distributor

Alright, I know I am going to need a steel gear, and I know what distributor to buy, but where do I find this steel gear? Ford? What applications should I ask for, or is there a place online I can order? 351W EFI Hydraulic roller cam 76 block.

    30mpg in the stang, possible?

Okay, for the vacuum gauge users, I have a few questions. I had always wanted to get one, and after reading these posts I went ahead and picked one up and installed it. In order to keep the vacuum around 10-15 while accelerating, I'm driving like grandma... not very surprised at that...

    Rod resizing

My machinist has already ground my crank to 10/10, I was going to reuse my stock rod bolts on my 351W football rods, but decided to go ahead with ARP bolts. I already have my crank bearings, and the crankshaft has already been reground. When he presses the bolts and resizes the rods, will I...
