    2002 gt: my car is due for smog so i need to put my factory mid pipe back on, but i have the diablsport tune on with the MIL eliminating option on(O2 sensors turned off or w/e). turns out the tuner isnt in my trunk anymore, but the empty box is....what can i do to fix this?

    thats what i firsts thought, but i was told there is no seal in the front, the only seal is in the back. the dealer said it may be a pump??? i didnt kno a trans had a pump :shrug: would this be a warranty issue?

    ok, i will check everything middle of next week. i have to swap out my mid pipe for the stock one for the damn smog. guess thats the price for O/R Xpipe lol. are there specific torque ratings for the mount bolts? or just as hard as i can turn with a 1/2"drive ratchet? thanks for all the help.

    i'll look into that, but no i dont drive hard at all. i shift at or before 2000rpm, unless im getting on the freeway, then its at 2500rpm. i cruise at 75mph, mostly cuz i am trying to save my gas. im having a crain fart, but where is the carrier berring?

    are you sure its the alternator and not the battery? i thought if the battery was bad then the car had to rely on the power from the alternator, and at higher rpms the output from the alternator is higher = brighter lights and so forth? that sucks, alternators are a pretty penny...

    check the IAC valve (idle air control) if it is damaged then the car will starve at idle and shut down. check all the vacuum lines around the intake as well.

    OK, i already stated that im ok with that fact that it drops as the gas depletes, but whats with the jumping between "LOW FUEL" AND 1/4 tank in less then a few seconds while stopped???

    im not too concerned about the speed at which it moves, im mostly bothered by the needle bouncing back and forth between 1/4 and E. it moves as if you are adding and removing electricity from it. it can bounce back and forth in less than a second sometimes while im sitting still.

    why does my car starts without keys in the ignition

    do you have the remote start option on your car? i just replaced the alternator in my friends truck and when i screwed in the terminals the truck started without the key. we just needed to press the remote start button on the key chain once the battery was connected and it works fine now.
