    what is the difference on our cars. i know 50 oz is stock, is that better/worse? what is the advantage of either assuming you are replacing a motor/trans? thanks :D

    i started with 120,250,400,800, then 1000 before polishing. i didn't spend enought time sanding so you can still see some of the scratches but it ok for now

    well i was looking for something to do besides sand my intake, so i pulled the cover off and polished/painted it. It still looks kinda crappy because i tried to rush it, so i will have to do the paint over. :shrug:

    my car was pretty much stock when i bought it. it still is. What i want to do is after i get all the suspension and brake goodies it, put in a 347 and t56 combo. the main purpose for the car is daily driver/show car/ autocrosser. i have also toyed around with the idea of a single turbo setup...

    i figured that is what they were for, but they couldn't have made much difference. i was thinking about putting a phenolic spacer in which would at least cancel it out :shrug:

    easier being the key word, there was no way i was going to try to sand/polish down in those grooves

    so far i have been just sanding, using every kind of disc, pad, wheel, and paper you can imagine. once i get all the powder coat off, and am satisfied with the modifications, i will begin working my way up in sandpaper numbers until i get to 1000. then let the buffing begin!!! :nice:

    i've probably got 3 or 4 hour into it so far, but a long way to go. i can't work on it very often(see last photo) but hopefully i get it done in a couple of weeks or so.
