pics of intake cover

well i was looking for something to do besides sand my intake, so i pulled the cover off and polished/painted it. It still looks kinda crappy because i tried to rush it, so i will have to do the paint over.

I just took mine off the other day and started to sand it. It was oxidaizied (sp) pretty bad. After over an hour of sanding it with 80 grit I got it with 100 grit for about 10mins. Then I wet sanded it for over an hour and it still had lots of scratches. Some of the scratches had disapperaed and it was smooth but still needs lots of sanding. Am I doing this a hard way or what? also how did you paint that, brush?

i started with 120,250,400,800, then 1000 before polishing. i didn't spend enought time sanding so you can still see some of the scratches but it ok for now
