    timing chain vs timing gear drive

    Is there a down fall to these at all. If some thing breaks wont it eat everything alive in the motor. It might be a dumb question I dont know just asking?:shrug:

    The engine is a 302 with the stock bottom but it does have a windage tray. The heads are 54cc with 1.94/1.60 valves with the triple springs in.     The engine would fire up just fine in the mustang not a problem at all. I did not take the cables from the mustang and put them in the truck. I will try and find some othere cables I have and put them on to see what happenes.

    I just put a set of 93 heads on my car now. I dont know what the deal is with the oil leaking from the valve covers. I HAD to put 2 gaskets on just to stop the leak.

    Piston to Valve clearance on cam?

    I got the same cam in my 289 and it does have a lope. Nice sound too if I can run it with no problems with stock heads then you should be fine. The thing I hate right now is that it does not kick in till 2500. :nonono:
