    2.3 and 5.0 stangs = same t5?

    there a T5 the difference is the input shaft diameter is smaller and the transmission can only hold up to 220 torque. You can use it if you buy a pilot bushing to make it work but I wouldn't recomend it. It wouldn't last too long behind a 5.0.

    427ci too big...

    It would be a allot of work to do but go find yourself a good running 5.0 stick it in there just for the emessions test. Then when it passes yank the motor out and put that 427 in for year. Yea probly tooooo much work though but Im crazy enough to do that kinda stuff.

    If you see a early 80's Crown Vic LTD check and see if it has the 351 windsor in it. The oil pan and pick up tube you can sell as a 351 fox body engine swap. It fits perfectly why I know because I found one and put the oil pan on my 351 and stuck it in my fox. no problems

    People actually buy those stock headers on the 5.0 mustangs. Easy to take off and they usually can sell for 20 to 30 bucks.

    what do plugged catalytic converters act like??

    does your exhaust stink like something horrible? That would indiacate bad cats too. Sometimes too if your driving and your smelling exhaust. If the cats are plugged your exhaust has to escape some how so it will come out where your exhaust bolts to your headers.
