Z Rated vs V Rated Tires

00gtconv, Any new thoughts on your tires now that you've been running them for a month or so now? I am going to purchase tires next week and am strongly leaning toward an H rated tire, specifically the BFG Traction TA which actually have a 60,000 mile warranty.

    '03 Cobra Front Bumper?

It will fit fine. :D With an 03 Cobra bumper and a stock fitting hood the fit will actually be tight. The fix is to move the mounting holes for the bumper back on the car about 1/4". I did not do this and there is a slight rub, but it cannot be seen, but there is no gap either. Also, some...

    Brake Caliper Torque Specs?

A torque is measured in ft.lbs, not psi (psi is pressure) To answer your question, the bolts that hold the caliper to the bracket should be torqued to 85 ft.lb. Post a pic of you calipers. I painted mine performacne red to match the car.

Z Rated vs V Rated Tires

Perfect timing. I am getting ready to purchase a set of tires as well and was wondering the same thing. Do I get a set of 30K mile Z rated tires or for the same money get a set of H/V rated tires that will last 60K miles. From talking to a few tire shops they say the biggest difference...

    Tire Question

If its possible to get that many miles out of them its a no brainer to go with the Nitto's. I was thinking they were good for only 30-35K miles. Did you do a lot of highway driving?

Does anyone have the ball shifter from Mustang Tuning above? Is that small button on the side for the overdrive?

    Tire Question

What do you guys think of the BFG Traction TA? $116 60,000 mile warranty H Rated Obvious use is everyday, not at the track. For the miles/$ this is half as much as a cheap Z rated tire.

    H Rated Tires

Top speed is not an issue, nor is acceleration traction a major factor in this application. For those situations (track) I'd buy a tire designed more specific for that. What I'm wondering is if I would kick myself for going to an H-rated tire for everyday driving instead of the Z rated. Do...

    Lowering my car...need suggestions

I don't know of any kits that will lower your back more than the front. Your only option may be to get a kit that lowers the car even, but then take out the back isolators.

    H Rated Tires

I'm needing to replace tires and tread life is my major concern and saw BFGoodrich Traction T/A have an expected life of 60,000 miles. What are the opinions of anyone who was put 17" H rated tires on their car? Is there a big handling difference between the H rated and the Z rated tires?

    Acutal Drop of H&R Sports

Yes, fronts are on the fronts and rears in the rear. I think it would be pretty hard to mix them up. Its a 2000 Coupe. Part number ordered was 51652. What was shipped was 51650, but from what I have been told they are the exact same spring. Since the 96+ cars roll off the assembly line...

    Acutal Drop of H&R Sports

I installed a set of H&R Sports last weekend and was wondering what others have seen for an acutal drop on their 99+. I ended up with an unlevel car which didn't drop near as much as I thought in the front. It dropped about 1.25" on the left, front and back, and about 0.75" on the right...

    Tony the "Magnaflow Specialist"

I ordered a cat-back from him about a year ago and was wanting to get in touch with him for something else now, but the email address is not working and I don't have a phone number. Anyone know who this is and how to get hold of him? For tech: I'm looking to get a set of springs and...

    Auto - Early Shifts?

Mine does this as well. I think it is fairly normal. I have noticed if the tires spin just a little at takeoff or downshift it will rev almost to the redline.
