Acutal Drop of H&R Sports

I installed a set of H&R Sports last weekend and was wondering what others have seen for an acutal drop on their 99+. I ended up with an unlevel car which didn't drop near as much as I thought in the front.

It dropped about 1.25" on the left, front and back, and about 0.75" on the right, front and back, compared to the 1.6" front and 1.5" back drop advertised. It also actally dropped a little more in the back as now the rear is about 1/8" lower than the front.

My main concern is the uneven drop. I am positive the pigtails are facing the same direction as stock. Would turning one side 180 degrees of stock level the car out? Any other thoughts?

If I get the car more even, would pulling the bottom front isolator to get the front a little lower do any harm? I originally didn't get the supersports as I didn't want to go too low with my 03 Cobra front, but I was hoping to go lower than I did with the Sports.

Thanks for any input.

This is only the second time that I have ever heard something like this about H&R springs. And the first time ended up being because the guy had the wrong H&R springs (part number) for his particular application.

What year of car and model do you have and what is the part number for your springs?

Yes, fronts are on the fronts and rears in the rear. I think it would be pretty hard to mix them up.

Its a 2000 Coupe. Part number ordered was 51652. What was shipped was 51650, but from what I have been told they are the exact same spring. Since the 96+ cars roll off the assembly line higher than the FOX cars, this spring lowers those cars more. This is why it eventually got a different part # for 99+.

Sounds like you got the correct springs... (Your springs are dark navy blue, correct?)

Are your rear pigtails both facing the driver's side? And are front pigtails both sitting correctly in the ruts in the A-arms?

You really shouldn't have to mess with the isolators to get everything to sit correctly. But I would double check your isolators to make sure they are seated correctly (for the ones that look like caps.)

mine did the same thing but leveled out after about a week. your springs mayneed to settle. just give it about a week of driving and see how it goes.

My drop with the super sports ended up being 2 in the front and 1.75 in the rear.. much lower than i wanted to go.. but looked good.
