    what rear gear are you running. i ran a 15.2 @ 90mph last night, i couldnt hook up at all. i would say there is at least half a second with dr's. mt et streets were hooking up really good last night whereas the nitto 555r's didnt hook up at all.

    finally got to the track

    well i am still running 2.73's. and i was thinking that i should trap higher than 90mph. but the track conditions were horrible. one of my friends has an 01 ss camaro auto, that runs 12.70's consistantly and only managed mid 13's last night.

    i only managed a 15.23 i trapped 90 mph. the track conditions sucked. nobody could hook up. everyone was fighting traction all night. now i can happily throw my 3.73's in.

    PINGING FIXED! Cost: 79 cents!

    i have an issue with pinging on mine too. just bumped the timing to 14* and it ran just fine till the 80 degree weather hit. now it fall flat on its face at 4000 rpm. i have a new thick walled vacuum line that fits perfectly. i had to because the elbow for the performer intake made it longer...

    im thinking of doing a head swap but have 112,000 miles on the shortblock. should i wait till this winter when i rebuild. also what other cars used the same valve covers as ours. i have a 302 not out of a mustang but it has the same exact valve covers ours do. the intake is gone off of it.

    i cannot help with any clear coat ? but i took the alt off the car and used an impact wrench. i have had no problems for about 35,000 miles

    well in two weeks spring natty's will be all done and over with at trails and i will make my first pass ever and the last with the 2.73's. we will be doing the gear swap at the track. my uncles going to have one of his camaro's up there(69 w/built 327 or 76 w/built 355) i might run better...
