    What FLows?

yep, original 40s ...although the new super 40s do sound pretty mean on stangs

    cold air question

yeah I think they should just tell you when they adverstise that you are only going to get the additional hp if you spend a few hundred on a new mass air too :notnice:

    Mac Hpipe is LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!

If its too loud (which I can't see it being) then I'd get new mufflers rather than putting cats in ..that would be expensive and pretty much pointless. If you like the sound, you can just get quieter flowmasters - delta flows or 3 chambers ...maybe some dynomax super turbos ...they sound really...

    cold air question

Did anyone get a cold air intake without getting a new mass air unit and actually pick up hp? It seems to me that a cold air won't give you any additional power unless you get one, but they don't seem to mention that on the ads that say "gain up to 10 horses." Thanks

    what midpipe?

X pipe for sure off road if your state doesnt require emissions, but if they do get the hi-flow catted ones ...they perform almost as well and aren't too much quieter ...If you are going off road, www.mustangtuning.com has good ones ...they carry the SLP catted ones too If you are going...

    flowmaster super 40's

I say just stick with the originals ..especially if you are going with the prochamber ...unless you wanna spend the extra cash for the super 40s but I don't think it would be worth it ...originals sound great as it is ...and they'll probably sound mean paired with the prochamber and rice...

    Midpipe Q?

It would sound better, but the stock mufflers should go too if you are getting a new midpipe. Just get 2 new mufflers put on at the same time too instead of paying 500 bucks for a whole new cat back. As far as X-pipes, SLP makes good hi-flow catted ones, and the design of the junction is...

    flowmaster super 40's

They sound really good, but not quite the classic flowmaster tone ...you can still tell its flowmaster though ...slightly quieter than the originals, but with improved flow and a unique sound ...I like them ...but dont think they are worth the extra 40 bucks per muffler though ...at least for...

    3.90s

still tryin to decide what ratio  ordering them soon though ....4.10s are pretty tempting ...so about 2,500 to 3,000 on the interstate is what it looks like ill be running doing 70-75 mph? ill be on it a lot ...not so worried about gas mileage ...just dont want excessive wear on my...

    Another Exhaust Question..sorry

If you are looking for strictly the loudest ...straight pipes into the mufflers with no cross over or balance tube ...but as far as the BEST header/midpipe combo ...definetly the X ...its loud enough when you get on it and it just sounds MEAN...sounds better than the H in my opinion ...but...

Help me to complete my exhaust

Well ..everyone is going to recommend what they have ...so here it goes ...Flowmaster! :nice: I have an x-pipe and flows and its not really loud ...can barely hear it at cruise ...but when you get on it, it screams ..american thunder all the way ...but if you dont want it loud at all get the...

    Flows - Super 40's v. A Thunder 40's

    Flows - Super 40's v. A Thunder 40's

If you look at the cutaways of the super 40s and the delta ...youll see that they are real similar, but not the same. Super 40s are supposed to be their best mufflers yet, but they don't have the classic flowmaster sound ...i've heard them and they sound really good though...different than the...

    Question about different X pipes

I have the SLP x-pipe that mustangtuning sells ....sounds awesome ...wouldn't go back to the H ever again after gettin it ...smooth, racy tone with the flowmasters ...I think the mustangtuning x and the slp will sound the same ...they are built pretty much the same ...dr gas also sounds mean...

    3.90s

    horsepower difference b/t o/r x and h

a few horses ...but nothing noticeable ...stay with the X pipe if you already have it ...sounds better too ...especially with the 40s

    3.90s

Anyone have 3.90s? I've been hearing about 3.73s vs 4.10s, but not much about the 3.90s they have now. I hear its a good medium between the two -balancing interstate driving and performance, but I was just wondering how much of a difference there would be between the 3.90s and the others. If...

    x pipe versus h pipe

X pipe cleans out the sound ...I wouldnt say more raspy, but rather more of a race car sound. It replaces the deep burbling sound of an H with a smoother higher pitch tone ...I love the sound of an X pipe a lot more than the H ...especially with 2 chamber flows :nice:
