    Just a question but if that wire red/grn is the sensor ground why does it hook to the positive side of the coil and there is no red/grn wire going to the computer?

    I have been to every pick N pull within 60 miles of my house and not 1 has a 91-93 4cyl mustang, so I can't get another harness, also running the wires to the computer is merely temporary to diagnose if my harness is bad.

    Maybe the ACT is messing things up. So many possibilities, I have replaced almost everything. I am running the car right now with just an SVO downpipe and cat, no other exhaust probably not the problem though.

    I plug in the spout connector while the engine is running and the engine immediately stalls and actually kicks backward when it dies, having the VAM plugged in or not makes no change except the check engine light comes on when it is unplugged.

    I do have the VAM hooked up right then. I am not getting a check engine light or VAM code but could it still be bad? I wonder what else would cause the engine to start perfectly then die immediately.

    How would I know if I installed the VAM backwards? If I wedge the VAM open with a screwdriver it will run for a few a second more or when the engine shuts off it will spin backwards about 1/4 rotation. Bad VAM possibly? Maybe I do have it hooked up wrong.

    Leave that old crankshaft sensor and wiring on the old engine you don't use it, you do use the distributor! Check stingers wiring swap info for wiring up the TFI that is on the distributor using the factory wiring from your mustang. You will not use the coil packs but will use the one coil out...
