    Theres no hope? Then what kind of backspacing/offset would I need to fit 10" on it? I plan on shortening the rear end too, what is a good place to stop? I was thinking right at the brake plate?

    Not to bring up a old thread. But I got the traction bars on and subframe connectors and I still experience wheel hop. I'm going for a wrong pinion angle. Anyone know what is a good angle or what it's supposed to be?

    Noisy Engine

    I've been driving my 66 for awhile now. I noticed a small noise coming from the engine compartment. It sounds like it's coming from the clutch. Like the bearing vibrating. Is it possible to have something vibrate loose? When I push the clutch in it gets a little quieter.. Any ideas?:shrug:

    Sputtering and Stumbling under accel

    If you stumbling under acceleration than you most likely are running lean. Same thing happened to me, stumbling in low speed good in higher speed. Changed to 1 stage rich on the carb and now it goes fast. :D

    Ok, If I change to 9" ends, I'll still be able to use my brakes right? So if I do change the ends I can use regular axles? (well, ones that can be resplined) Narrowing sounds like a good idea to fix my problem right?
