    I thought of that, i put the top down in the car, THEN build the box to fit inside. It clears fine. thats why the box is so wide, and not deep, for harder bass.

    i have owned a coupe and a vert, i was told that the body is thicker (more space between the seats and the outside of the car) and the seats are closer due to the top having to fit in the space behind the back seat. correct me if im wrong.
