Oil Sending Unit Question/Problem!

I bought a new engine because my 96 finally pooped out on me. I bought the engine used from a auto salvage yard, and have a 90 day warrenty. I get the engine fully installed, start it up, sound great.. runs great.

I then notice oil dripping from the car, sure enough its coming from the oil sending unit, a closer look shows it is cracked. Not the unit but what it screws into (not sure what its called). I was going to pull the entire thing off my old engine but the bolt snapped off into the block.

Im 100 miles away from college and have class tomorrow morning I cant miss. I used JB weld and a c clamp and tightened it to the peice that is cracked, the crack is less then 3 mm long, but dripping oil for sure. If this JB weld doesnt work (many times iv used it, it has failed me) Is there a way to bypass the oil sending unit with a bolt screwed in to pass the crack so I can at least get to class tomorrow and worry about this later?

Or order what i need tomorrow, skip class for a day or two (sounds good to me) pull the power steering off, unbolt the engine lift it up to replace the cracked part.

the cracked part is on the driver side, what the oil sending unit and the water from the radiator plugs into
