    I am leaving the crank pulley the stock 6.87" that Vortech supplies. This combo should produce JUST a hair below 50k impellar speed, which is where the s-trim starts to lose efficiency. Thats assuming a 6300 redline.

    Wi Stang thanks for the write-up, thats the kind of dyno #'s and daily driver info I was looking for. Did you try to run any additional boost with the meth to make those, or is that power gain from more timing only? Also what size pulleys do you have, and how much boost did you make those...

    I am putting my S-Trim on finally and am wondering if before I get it tuned I should have some sort of intake cooling device installed. I know the meth is alot cheaper and easier to install, but how long does a tank last? Is an intercooler worth $1000 more?

    Yeah but the spare is only 4" wide, so it cant fit the typical sizes sold in regular street tires. And yeah I'm sure the 9.5" fronts and 275's are hurting my 1/4 times a bit. I need all the weight transfer I can get with the stiff springs on the car.

    I think my old car is faster than my new car, and i am pretty sad about it.

    And SHO's are only really decent from a roll, they trap in the 95mph range stock, but dont a ton of power out of the hole.

    Oh, for sure. Myself I am just trying to weigh the cost vs. the gain. I am trying to balance how much to spend for the front vs. the rears. Plus, $460 gets you some pretty nice HP mods that you could use all the time, versus front tires that you only use at the track.

    The best fitting skinny 17" tire is the 26x4.5 made by M&H, and its $140/piece. I had looked into using 2 Cobra spares and getting 2 tires, but in the end it would have cost more than just getting 2 draglite's and running Kuhmo 165's. Here's a couple options I am looking at: 15x3.5"...
