It would have been better if I named this thread, "Help me figure out what this crap is!". I'm not good enough at the internet to change it now.. Ok, so now..... Transsmissions! From what i know now, im assuming one is a v8 trans, and one is a v6 trans. How do I identify them? Thanks!

The 8.8 tag says 3L27 That would be a 3.27 limited slip, not a 3.73?

I agree on the v8 swap that failed, as well. I can probably tell by the vin for sure, yes?

I recently bought a parts car that the guy told me was a 95 mustang gt. The engine was already out, he had 2 transmissions, that were both out, and an extra rear end. (One rear end was in the car, one was out.) This is the one that was out of the car . It looks familiar to me. 3L27 88. - 3.27...

    Gas Tank Straps

Alright... I give up... whats the trick? I'm trying to put new gas tank straps on, but they apear about an inch or so too short. I think the tank is in the right place? If I put the jack up any more it raises the car. I put the new straps next to the old ones and they apear to be the same...

On another note, I think I have myself talked into wrapping my car. I'm almost thinking the green. Going for as close to "gotta have it green" as i can get. Thoughts?

    Fuel Pump Swap

I ordered everything last spring when my pump started getting whiny. Ended up going with a 110gph walbro (i think...) filler neck seal was about $20 from american muscle. :fuss:

    Fuel Pump Swap

Thanks for the quick responses! I had this planned last fall, so I ran the car almost out of gas when I put it away last winter. Getting the tank out wasn't too bad. The worst part was the filler neck. I ordered a new grommet from american muscle, as mine has a big hole in it. With this...

    Fuel Pump Swap

Changing out my noisy stock pump, and I've found some things that concern me. The red wire appears to be missing some insulation, and appears to have gotten very hot. I should replace this, yes? Can any wire do, or does it need to be special wire? The molded rubber hose apears to have a split...

Out of one garage, and into the other. (Of course, I took it down the road imbetween, and made sure it still did donuts first,) Back on jackstands... It doesn't even have a turbo!! (The passat does though.. And it is definitely broken...) New fuel pump, filter, and tank straps. (And...

When I got divorced, my house appraised $50,000 higher than it should have :bang: (But magically when it sold, it appraised for almost exactly what it sold for )

Well bummer. That's my second garage / shop (that I'm fixing up now), so it won't see daily use. Hopefully it will last for a bit!
