Paint looks pretty good right? If you watch any of my threads you got know where they all head. This car has 20,000 miles and a clean history but.....I know a pretty decent paint guy so lets make this a K and K car.

You’re crazy Kevin. Bolts ons and tint are one thing, but the car is only original once and that’s a rare one. I know you make them perfect, but now it’s originality is gone.

PS, sorry about the loss of your friend.
But thats the thing. It has aftermarket tawain fenders, every panel on the car has already been repainted. The front bumper at least 3x. The extreme hood is cracked. The crash bar is keystone. Shall I go on....? Im just bringing the car back to how its supposed to be. All ford panels, showroom fresh (well better). If anything, Im making it more original here.

A friend of mine had an 06 Extreme. He bought it new in New Orleans. Unlike most people he had it built. When I met him the car would run but the tune was way off. It would either struggle to stay running or trying its damndest to kill you. I only got to go for a ride in that car one time. It was one of the most terrifying yet exciting things I ever rode in. Unfortunately another friend of his was trying to work on the car and took it for a test drive. The guy almost died, was in the hospital for days, and the car was a total loss.

Those are cool cars for sure.

went ahead and corrected the front end issues. Replaced the crash bar, foam crash pad, and header panel with mint Ford pieces just like factory. Of course I painted them to match like factory as well... (maybe a little slicker). Also cleaned up and did some detail work to the core support to replicate factory.

Saleen has the best styling but the worst quality on most of their pieces. These sail panels are a prime example. But a few rounds of hard blocking and 15 coats of primer and they are in acceptable shape. Not to say I wont do more blocking and priming because acceptable is never acceptable for me.

What's the story on that car? I'm assuming it must have been in a front end collision to have been sporting aftermarket fenders?
Its funny. Original owner had the car until his death and then went to a collector in VA. Clean history, car fax etc. all original car.
but at some point it got into got front end damage. Crash bars, fender aftermarket. I see a place in the front corner or the door that was a repair “attempt”. Whole car was painted at some point as well. It will be better than new when Im done
