The car has been siting for years prior to me snagging it on a steal.

I was able to put the new clutch in and she fired up really quick. My clutch peddle was super stiff so k replaced the clutch cable and thats. Not a problem anymore. Yet I can’t put my car into gear when it’s running.

First and foremost welcome to Stangnet!

Just a suggestion but you should edit your post and correct the spelling and grammar. It reads like really bad second grade English and it’s hard to follow. We appreciate clear and concise writing so we can focus on helping with the problem.

It sounds to me like your clutch is out of adjustment.

Post up a link to the cable that you installed.

On a side note and something that can help you out if you're typing everything out on a phone. Create bullets kinda like this:

Symptoms:

Replaced clutch
Replaced cable
Replaced transmission

Car goes into gear fine engine off
Won't go into gear or grinds with engine on and clutch in
