02 gt 351 v8

will a 351 fit in 02gt or just put back 4.6

I've heard that it will. The block is pretty much the same size as the 302 that was in the 94-95's. go for it!

It will fit but I would put the 4.6 back in. You can make just as much power with a 4.6 then you can with a small block pushrod motor. On top of that I don't think you will get a carb motor through emissions testing.

It's basicaly a fox chassis,so technically yes.I've often thought of doing a pushrod engine these days.Cheaper to build,easy to work on,and really doesn't need a tuner for every mod done.But then the mod motor is a nice engine too.
If that is your plan,look for a wrecked '94/'95 GT downer.Everything needed would be there,especially if you wanted to stay efi.

Ive seen one shoved in a 98 before so I'm sure it would. For the effort , I would stick with some variation of the 4.6l

Thats going to be an expensive swap.

thats a great solution for a simple problem.


BTW my car has an oil leak. i think i'll trash my whole engine and swap in a 350. anyone need an POS 4.6 for free???
