Hello All

Are ALL 02 Mustang GT's equipped with the self adjusting clutch? I mean...alot of people say all you need to do to adjust your clutch is to put your foot behind the pedal and lift up till it stops....then slowly push down on the pedel until you hear a slight click sound.
I tried this method and i dont hear or feel crap. So I wonder if I even have that option? Does this mean in order to adjust the cable ...I have to get under the car and do it?

Also, put it in first gear when you adjust it. Engine off of course.

My 02 GT has the self-adjusting clutch mechanism but I've never been able to get it to click while doing the adjustment procedure as specified in the owner's manual (lifting up on the pedal). I did follow the adjustment tech article on corral.net and it does work. It helped quiet down my TOB chirping noise.

This sounds like my wife's 01 GT with a new King Cobra clutch, Steep ramp, quick release 'red' Steeda quad, Steeda Firewall adjuster and adjustable cable. The new quad helped lower the pedal closer to the stock position when out, but the release point is still way too high.
Last weekend I adjusted the firewall adjuster because the pedal was vibrating - then I drove it and noticed how high it releases. I only have to push it down about 1/2 way to the floor to disengage. And my knee hits the steering wheel on the way up. Anyone have a solution for this? Adjusting via the firewall adjuster just pulls the pedal down, but doesn't change the point at which the clutch disengages / engages.
