I have an '02 Gt with a 5 speed. The drivetrain feels "clunky" when I let off the gas at slow speeds to slow down. Does anyone else have this "jerky" drivetrain feel??? ...and I DO know how to drive stick. Thanks!

It's normal, nothing to worry about.

Feels like crap though! Do you think better motor and trans mounts will help?

Same thing here

I think it is the tolerance stack-ups of the transmission, driveshaft, and differential. Mine does it in 1st or 2nd gear going really slow ~10mph in a parking lot.

I had something like that happen to my car. In 1st and 2nd gear it would always making cluncking noises. I thought it was my trans for like 2 months, I was waiting for it to blow to get a new one. The thing never blew so one day when my friend was doing the oil change on the car i went to see what the problem was. It turned out that one bolt was holding my driveshift. All the bolts were still there but barley in there. We used the impact and it stopped the cluncking. If you have play a lot of play in your drive shift it can be it.

you don't mean the sound you just mean the feel of the car jerking at slow speeds, right? if so i have the same thing, like you said in 1 st and 2nd in a parking lot. it just started making me think i didn't know how to drive, but turns out its normal for these cars to do this.

Yep. Mine does that and I have a 2000 GT. Must be a problem that Ford has. Hardly any other cars that I drive have that problem.
