Does anyone besides me have complaints about the stock seats in their '01-04 stangs? Cause I definitely detest them. I feel I'm gonna slide outta them every turn I make. And can anyone disagree with me about the lack of usefullness in the headrest? I mean come on.

And the seatbelts? Need I say more?

I mean I love my 02 and can't and wouldn't trade it in for an 05 and up partly because I've grown to love mine and because it's almost paid off.

Am I the only one putting up with this or are there any others out there that hate their seats and belts?

No, your right , these seats are not that great. They are way outdated, 70's style.
I had a 81 Z28 that had better seats. I rented a frikin KIA that had more
comptorable seats...
I have 45k on my GT leather seats and the side of the drivers seat is all beat down, where as the passenger seat still is in good shape.
Im thinking about getting it redone.

I'm definitely not a fan of the stock seats in my '01. Seriously horrible lateral support, and that lumbar support airbag thing is a joke. I think I'm gonna switch to a set of Corbeau seats soon.

I agree. Love the car. The seats? Not so much.
I have an '89 TBird SC, and that car has very nice seats, as well as headrests that can actually be tilted to touch your head.

Well i totally agree with the 99-04 seats SUCKING!

But i will say that the 94-98 leather (and non-leather) seats are very nice in comparsion. I helped a buddy of mine a few weeks back put in some 97 GT seats in his 03. WAY BETTER!!!!!!!

'94-98 might be better, but I just upgraded to '01 cobra front seats because I wasn't happy with my '98s. 01/03/04 Cobra, Bullitt and Mach 1 seats or aftermarket seats are the way to go if you want to get proper leg, thigh and lumbar support in addition to a proper headrest.

Not only are they unsupportive but the "leather" feels cheap as hell. I havent had any other cars with leather seats before but these feel cheap.

That can be fixed

Also, if you hate the headrests, you can get 03/04 interior upgrade headrests...which are the same used on Cobras and Mach1s and all that.

The seats are basically recovered Fox mustang seats...so they are over 25 years old.

I love mine though. They are soft and cozy and with 60K, my seats are still relatively wrinkle free. I condition them all the time with Meguiars leather wipes and it actually works out the wrinkles. You guys should try them. Wipe the seats down and then park the car for a day or so and you will notice the wrinkles gradually fade. If you stick with it they will work out.

My seats actually have fewer wrinkles now than when i got the car.

Take a peek....63K on these.

yes i know the mats are dirty...those are my DD mats. I have good ones for when i go to shows or cruises.

What I hate about mine is the front is to high compared to the back and if I want them to sit flat then I have to jack up the back. I have been wondering if I can get a pair of 05 seats in my 03. What is the difference between the Gt seats and the 03 Cobra seats?

Side bolsters that hold you in the seat perfectly.

When I had the 01 GT i hated the seats and headrest, but since I got the Mach I love the seats...has side bolsters and a useable headrest, still doesnt recline much but there is an easy fix somewheres on the net...something about drilling out a part.Just get your hands on some Mach,Bullit or Cobra seats and Im sure you will like.

i dont know if you have been in other cars with leather before...but i agree. this fact is worsened by the fact that my parents drive very nice vehicles (dad currently has a Lexus RX350 and previously had a G35 Coupe, Mom has a Lexus ES330 and previously an I30) and when i ride in them i wonder why Ford couldnt at least have made the effort to put a tiny bit nicer leather in the Mustang.

i personally dont have the "leather" seats in my car, but i have been in many that do. it feels like plastic. when looking for my car i intentionally went looking for cloth seats

I agree with the seatbelts sucking, and the headrests are totally useless. But ... I like the seats. I find them very comfortable and supportive. Maybe it's because I have cloth seats ... I don't know.

I wonder hard it is to find a good set of Cobra or Mach seats and how expensive are they?
I like the look of those side bolsters
