Good call. Is the mirror the same? Can we just paint ours?

Yea the mirror is the same im pretty sure but i dont wanna paint the stock ones because of the design the 03/04 cobra mirrors got...the beggining is black and the outer half is painted. Im not sure how much they cost though?

Well, no. Cobra do not have wrinkle finish like black plastic one from GT is, and it folds. and mirror itself have different shape then GT one.

I got mine for less then $150. Mine was new, but had slight imprefection it it, and one was Comp orange and other were black.

But since i was gonna paint it anyway, i didn't care for mismatched color or small scratch....
And hold away function - no real use whatssoever. but its cool as hell...

Yeah I love the Cobra mirrors, I hated the stock GT pieces of plastic. I had ordered mine back when Blue Oval Industries had a few in stock and was lucky enough to get them already painted in silver instead of having to buy mismatched ones on Ebay.

Hacking up the door during install:

Comparison shot of Cobra Vs. Stock:

The folding part is awesome, especially living in Chicago - people in the bike lane will take out your mirror like nothing when parked, haha:

And the shape they have is also very nice, modern straight line cuts - pic with them showing my seats:

I also love the two tone with the black mount and colored mirror, makes them standout nicely.

honestly i never noticed till i had both cars (my 03 cobra and 02 GT) parked next to eachother and my buddy pointed it out.

i kinda like the unpainted plastic ones when theyre nice and glossy after a few coats of "Back to Black".

My 40th GT came stock with the folding mirrors. They are sweet but I have yet to use the folding option for anything but cleaning around them.

I think the GT mirrors are the best choice on some GTs...

Cobra mirrors are good on: silver, white, yellow

Cobra mirrors not so good on: laser red, black, sonic blue

So f'n what if they fold they are actually very difficult to fully clean... The hinge area is tight, accumulates dirt, and is pretty noticeable.

I got mine from ebay.

I personally think GT mirrors look fine on a stock looking GT. But a car like mine is begging for Cobra mirrors. Not to mention, EVERYONE constantly reminds me my car needs them. So they'll be on sometime this week with my new hood.
