Yoyu guys with 03 Cobras or 03 Cobra front bumpers do you hydroplane like crazy in the left lane when it pours??

I was wondering if it is because of the inlets in the bumper or maybe the kinda loose wheelwell cover but I always have to move to the middle lane during rain or else i hydroplane...maybe its just cuz it RWD lemme kno..

Nope

No slipping and it rains hard enough to flash flood here quite often. Of course I watch for the bigger puddles.

Unless your front fascia is hanging off the front air dam/skirting shouldn't be problem. Iv'e read that those aren't much of a factor unless you want to run over 160 mph.

What kind of tires do you run now? Might want to check that out. My PZero's have been rock solid so far, much better in wet than the stock G**Dyear GS-C's.

I'd look at the tires before anything else

Hydroplanning is typically a function of tire's loosing contact. But there are other factors that can cause some funny effects. Such as needing a serious 4 wheel alighment, too much camber effect and out of round tire's. You should have a pro take a look. Not trying to scare you , but it wuld help if you told me when it hydroplaned, etc. As water is a dangerous source for most driver's.

basically whenever im in the left lane during rain ..(where the puddles are toward the left side) while drive when i hit it the car loses grip momentarily and feels like it is about to turn away from it...imagine if your car had a long chin spoiler on its left side and if u hit a hug puddle...thats the feeling I get

Sound like

Sounds like some serious hydroplane action. This has been a VERY wet summer where I live (South East). The same might be happening in your area. Try this. Have a friend drive infront of you over some of these roads during a rain or recent rain. The mech's way is to reporduce the problem, observe the correct. I wouldn't set fault until then.

Solution to combat hydroplaning on the highway: Slow down.

Standing water on the roadway & highway speeds are a recipe for disaster unless you exercise some caution...
