03 Cobra motor on it's way!

hey guys, my 03 cobra motor is being shipped. I have a 97 Gt and I was just wondering what I need to purchase so I can be ready for the installation when it gets here. I got the motor with 5000 miles on it for $3600 bucks so I have some $$ to spend on it. As soon as it gets here I am getting the valve covers, headers, super charger pulleys, etc. powdercoated ford blue. Any other suggestions for parts that would look good powdercoated?

thats a great deal where you find it for that price if you dont mind me asking? post some pics and keep us updated while its being put together you're gonna need a wiring harness, computer, fuel system upgrade and should get a T56

I've got a 98 GT, and I'm looking for a low milage 03 cobra motor. That is a sweet deal, dude. Did it come with the s/c or was the s/c not salvagable? I'd get a KB if I were installing it.

We're evil, but I love it! IN MY OPINION, a SN95 with an 03 Cobra motor is better than an 03 Cobra itself. Are the SN95s lighter? Or are they heavier? IN MY OPINION, the SN95s look better, a lot curvier. REMEMBER! THIS IS MY OPINION.

Motor comes with T-56, computer, wiring harness and clutch. I am dead set on this going in my car. Fastest sleeper on the block....

seriuosly... i'd spend a little more than the $2000 for cams/springs/tune installed and get an 03 setup...

i think the 96-98's were actually slightly heavier than the 99-04's.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!3600 for a complete cobra engine, tranny, and all needed cpu things? CRAP! MUST have been EBAY, only way. If not, PM me with the details, cuz I will buy that crap tonight LOL. Also your gonna need a shorter drive shaft, probably needs to be custom made. Will also want to get a good fuel pump, and maybe a better radiator. Not sure about throttle linkage and the such. EDIT: Oh and your also going to need 03-04 cobra gauges(whole pod), definatly a custom burned SCT chip(tell them to turn off PATS system, and remove any TC the computer may have), and MAYBE a mid pipe for an 03-04 cobra (May need a shop to build a custom one).

Better look into getting yourself a cowl hood or something of the sort to go with it. There's no way it's gonna clear your stock hoodline with the Eaton strapped to the top of the intake.

Like i said its gonna be alot of work. Your gonna need Engine harness, Under dash harness, fender harness and your gonna need to upgrade your fuel system etc...
